Got the email with the download link for Icarus 3. I bought into Icarus on 22nd December 2023 - I thought I was to get the upgrade to Icarus 3 for free? I have not been sent the activation key file (Icarus3.t2k).
How do I activate it?

You should have been sent the key file with your initial purchase. Check your old email from “NoReply My Commerce”. I just checked and the key file is still in mine and still downloadable

A small issue to report with the PC version. With the VST 2, clicking the Wavetable editor button opens a small window and closes the main synth GUI which then must be reopened.

With the VST 3 version the wavetable editor window opens up at the size of the main GUI and overtop (preferred) and closing the editor window leaves the main GUI intact. Tested in both Tracktion Waveform and FL Studio, Windows 10.

Also there is still no file path persistence in the WT Editor. Load a single cycle wave from a folder outside of the Icarus folder, go back to load another wave and the file path is forgotten. You can work around this by pinning the external folder to the Quick Access area of Windows Explorer.

I am rebranding to Veletone Music,the site isn't ready,but functional.
Packed 500 'beta' presets for Icarus,start to test them on I3.
Bonus 256 presets for Warlock,total 750+ presets inside,especially ambient lovers will be super satisfied.
Last preset added today - a pad called Morphea.

Thanks for the info. Didn't think to look at the initial purchase email - indeed the Icarus 3 keyfile was there.
Well, it's a Friday and it's been a long week, so that's my excuse for being a dumb ass and not checking the initial purchase details

If you bought Icarus2 less than one year ago, you have to pay full upgrade price?

Downloaded the PC demo, spent three minutes with it and immediately purchased the upgrade. An awesome synth has gotten even better. Maybe it's just my imagination but Icarus 3 seems to have a more detailed and high quality core sound that I find incredibly pleasing. Even more so than version 2.5.

I can't seem to find the link for the old presets that were eliminated. Seems like quite a few are missing from the Pads folder etc (I took screenshots of some of the old 2.5 folders to see which presets are new).

Am I correct in saying that on PC the Skin files are not available to the end user for editing? I'd like to make a few tweaks if possible.

All in all a very impressive upgrade and Icarus 3 will absolutely be one of my most used synths going forward.....

I noted your feature request. It is something we can do for 3.1.
You can also drag&drop waveforms or wavetables to the osc or th WT editor.

Custom skins are possible. I'll put some info into our company forum soon.

Great, thanks! Looking forward to 3.1 then. I did try drag and drop but it didn't seem to work. Let me try again, I must have done something wrong.

EDIT: Ok I got drag and drop to work from my DAW's browser. Earlier I was trying to drag from an Explorer window and that didn't work but I think that's a Windows problem.

sorry if this has been covered before, but i just got the update and both Reaper and the Icarus app now greet me with a critical error message, saying that an important file is missing and that i need to run the installer to fix it

I had saved my Icarus2 Factory presets (and renamed with the prefix ZZZ TwopointFive) so they are way at the bottom, I started going thru to see if any of my real favourites had been dumped (one man's meat is another man's poison) but it became to labourious and said I said to hell with that and backed them up but removed them from Icarus 3's access.

Lol.. yes one of my favourite sound designers too.. though for me (and no offense to the other sound designers) the ones I most like in Icarus 3 are from Troels (UT) and Markus (MF/MK).

At least 31 of them were our own sounds (MF, UT)
Most that is simplish stuff from Icarus1
