Ah. Didn't realize the number 19 represents the year. I thought it was perhaps the total amount of scientists who created the virus brought about to wipe out a good portion of the human race now that A.I. can do most of the layman's work. Goddamn Youtube.

Why listen to “bog standard” when there’s great music? I acknowledge that they created a brand and had a great show, but that should have been on top of great music, not instead of.lotus2035 wrote: Fri Apr 05, 2024 2:00 pmTheir music was alway pretty bog standard blues rock, it's the image and marketing and KISS lunch boxes that have set them apart for decades.zerocrossing wrote: Fri Apr 05, 2024 8:44 am I never understood why Kiss was popular. It doesn't get cheesier than rock bands from the 80s using Rock N Roll or Rock in their lyrics.
1 We built this city on ROCK AND ROLL
2 R-O-C-K in the USA yeah yeah....ROCKIN in the USA
3 Here I am.....ROCK you like a hurricane
4 I'm ROCKIN tonite - I'm walkin' on air
Gonna find me some trouble - gonna grab my share,
Take me in your arms - ROLL me through the night
Take me to your heart - ROCK me tonight
It's like in every case, the bands/artists felt the need to still be hip with the younger audience and so they said ROCK and ROLL in their lyrics.
CHEESE.

Yeah that's their anthem which is overrated imo. They have much better songs from the first 3 albums that went nowhere:cryophonik wrote: Sat Apr 06, 2024 5:01 am Because they want to ROCK and ROLL all night… and party ev-er-y day![]()

When I went to see KISS at their final tour last year I actually went to see them and their show, not so much for their music. And I was not disappointed in both aspects.zerocrossing wrote: Sat Apr 06, 2024 2:02 amWhy listen to “bog standard” when there’s great music? I expected a great show, and I got it.
I expected average rock music, and I got it.
I even expected to be able to tell my kids that I've seen a popular anthem of my days to be played live by the band that it is famous for. Check. I was made for being there. Once.
