So, I spent months of time and bought a bass plus a special fancy set of strings to make a sample library that I strongly suspect nobody, not a single person in the world, actually needs. Same bass as is the blue half of Black And Blue Basses, our KVRDC entry from last year, but going much deeper down a particularly ridiculous rabbit hole. It goes an octave below standard, and sometimes another fifth below that. It's played the regular way, hit and scraped and rubbed with various objects such as a screwdriver, and also prepared by hanging stuff from the strings or jamming it between the strings. Largely inspired by Cop Shoot Cop, my favorite band with two bassists ever.
So, yeah, you don't need it, but quite possibly you want it to do stuff no other sample library does.

Cool!
Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

I love it. Amazing number of articulations. I made a piece using about 80% just this instrument alone
