Good morning,
I plan to change the audio interface.
I'm hesitating between two models.
Rme Babyface Pro Fs and Rme Ucx 2.
Aside from the difference in inputs and outputs (not decisive for my choice), which has the best converters and which has the best sound reproduction, with the greatest output gain (power of the sound output when listening to speakers) ?
These two criteria are very important for my choice.
Can I connect the Rme Arc Usb to both models?
Thank you in advance for your answer.

UCX has a better mic preamp and headphone out - and overall better audio specs but most won’t be able to hear that. Also it has the new Room EQ feature. It’s like a mini UFX. No corners cut.

You should be pretty happy with this. You may look at it occasionally and wonder why these things cost so much, but the rest of the time you'll not even notice it's there and won't even think about audio quality knowing that this device just handles it brilliantly.

Both me and a friend are facing the same dilemma.Trancer wrote: Wed Apr 10, 2024 6:10 pm Thank you for your reply.
Indeed, the price is high, but very well justified.
Rme is truly excellence in its purest form.
A pure happiness.
What is your experience so far with the UXC II?

Didn't the BBF get the Room EQ feature too?dikrek wrote: Sat Apr 06, 2024 8:08 am UCX has a better mic preamp and headphone out - and overall better audio specs but most won’t be able to hear that. Also it has the new Room EQ feature. It’s like a mini UFX. No corners cut.
Some specs seem to be in favor of the BBF Pro FS when compared to the UCX II. (DAC for example)

Unfortunatley it doesn't have RoomEQ, it also doesn't have Dynamics (compressor/expander).Sindikhate wrote: Tue Sep 17, 2024 7:29 am Didn't the BBF get the Room EQ feature too?

The BBF was designed to run on bus power alone. These effects would probably draw too much power.
