Going by looks, it seems like Tone2 did the GUI for this (or was the entire plugin commissioned?)

Great. And it looks like Tone2 Saurus. :o :hihi:

My goodness.. if Markus didn't do this, this is a complete copy of his style of GUI's (not something would be surprising giving it is Behringer).

Mom can we get Tone2 Saurus?

We have Tone2 Saurus at home.

Tone2 Saurus at home:
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

Interesting they are doing plugins now...
How original

It gives you the option to not install the standalone version, but when you run the VST it tells you you need to licence it with the standalone version

The synth part of the interface looks decent, but it's surrounded by a gigantic black border that pointlessly takes up about two thirds the space of the actual synth.

Sadly it's completely broken in FL Studio. It responds to keypresses seemingly at random. The controls lag and stutter. Unusable.

They announced VSTs along with a DAW a couple of years ago. The examples they shared would also act as VST editors for the same hardware synths.

Don't think Tone2 have a copyright on faux wood...

The layout is totally different, the knobs are totally different, the colours are different, the keys are different... Don't know what else to list. It's all different.

If anything, the Behringer GUI is better.

Agree, it doesn't look that similar. Or sound that similar!

It reminded me of Saurus right away. Of course it's not totally the same, but it gave a strong impression of it at least.

It has some similarities, but, I think it's different enough to not call the whambulance.

Nah this definitely looks like a Tone2 plugin. The graphics around the dials are identical to Saurus, it has the same dark band running between the dials that Saurus has, the colour scheme is identical to Saurus. Either Behringer completely ripped off Saurus - which would be totally on brand for them, but unlikely - or Tone2 had a hand in its development. In fact I would be very surprised if they didn't. Edit: They didn't

Beyond the graphics, this is it.
