I could see the viability of keyboard style plugin hosts if they commit to hardware upgrades (CPU, Ram and SSD) for 5 or more years. Dedicated controllers that are CPU hosts like the new Akai MPCs and Maschine + hit the wall quickly.

But some of us are interested in seeing what they reveal first before poopooing it.
I am interested in it also, and I don't think it will be stinky doodoo. I think it will be more than just Analog Lab in a box
You posted 4 messages on this page alone detailing how you think it will be terrible --
  1. it lacks Rompler sounds for bread and butter things
  2. Arturia has great organ models but they would take an eternity to load a new VST for an organ
  3. Arturia also doesn't have good orchestral sounds
  4. they will just pull a Korg and put a Raspberry PI or an embedded Windows system inside of it and essentially rehash their existing Analog Lab Controllers
  5. if it's really going to be $1600 I doubt there will be much demand
  6. just buy a yamaha or laptop and keyboard controller
My impression was you really detest the idea of Arturia releasing a keyboard analog lab device. I am happy to know you will be patient before judging such a product too harshly before it is revealed.

Not interested in some kind of Analog Lab controller/stage instrument. It certainly doesn't strike me as representing a "new chapter", but marketing people do enjoy a bit of hyperbole.

Are they going to be releasing a bunch of Eurorack modules? They've been selling the Rackbrute cases for years!

PUSH 3 took a better approach with user upgradable CPU, SSD etc...you can even upgrade form the 'controller only' version...maybe Arturia will follow the same (sensible) model...you get both controller and full hardware users that way.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

That could be very interesting.

Did you know?!? Hands don't get cold in space! That's why the guy in the photo doesn't need gloves

I was responding to people on a web forum where people are speculating on an unknown product where literally no one knows anything

You attacked me for doing so. My impression is that you don't care about this product you just chose to attack people for no reason, perhaps internet forums just are not for you?

If all this is, is Analog Lab in a box for $1600 it will flop, there is zero market for that. In the studio if you want Analog Lab you have it. For gigging Analog Lab doesn't have enough going for it to be your sole keyboard, and there are other options in the same price range that offer more than Analog Lab

Arturia themselves set the value of Analog Lab with their sale prices. The sell it for $99

So it better be one hell of a keybed and onboard computer for an extra $1500. It better be Fatar quality

For $499 you can buy the Studiologic SL88 Studio 88-key Keyboard Controller, which has a fantastic 88 key Fatar piano action keyboard

That's the competition it would be up against

For you it wouldn't have enough going for it to be your sole keyboard. Let's get that straight.

Having it all in one could be more useful than kludging around a keyboard, audio interface, and a laptop.

And I'm not attacking you, I'm pointing out your incredible negativity before the product is even officially announced. Let's at least wait for this event before dumping on it..

If it is a standalone Analog Lab V thing then the question immediately rises: How many voices of polyphony? What are it's internal guts?

Also, does it allow you to edit the individual synths like Analog Lab does when you own the separate products (though it works exceedingly poorly in my experience!).

Yeah I'm having a hard time getting excited over this.

I love people "having a hard time getting excited" over nothing. Which is good because one should not get excited over an unknown product. But Arturia have done their work because y'all now have talked for 7 pages about it and I'm sure that will continue until the announcement 😂

I’m just hoping for a 25 year anniversary freebie.
