Anyone also having problems to install it? Got the download and the license but the installer cannot create the "documents" folder for the manual and so the whole installation procedure needs to be cancelled.

TBH rather than providing free average VST synths, I'd rather Behringer put more effort into producing official VST controller plugins for their hardware...which would help sell more hardware.

However we downloaded the 'Behringer Vinatge' plugin and will check out if parts of the graphics artwork from Tone2 Saurus has been used without our permission.

They obviously didn't use any of your artwork directly but recreated it (in parts) for their own GUI. The fact the copied the lined scales and the black connecting lines behind the controls is giving it away. The rest isn't that unique.

The Behringer Plugin is free. The Model 80 is a decent emulation of the Prophet 5 the Behringer Plugin will cover different sonic territory

The Beringer sound like a toy from the 90 VA era.
An epic faill. Surge XT, Tyrell, Odin 2 sound way better.

I have Repro and the Arturia Prophet 5 all the Prophet 5 I need. What I don't have is a plugin that sounds like a toy from the 90s VA era

Now I do and it was free and cost me nothing, and unlike actual 90s era VSTs runs on modern operating systems

You obviously seem to lack the creativity to fit a plugin that sounds like a toy from the 90s VA era into your music, but I most certainly do and welcome it, it's a different flavor and texture that I didn't have before

The Prophet 5 has been done to death, toys from the 90s VA era have not been

I am happy any time a free plugin comes out that sounds different than other things I already have. I have 5TB of harddrive space why wouldn't I download it

Can any developer actually own digital wood panels, knob styles, or have a copyright on how the layout of a plugin can be? I could see if they were selling the plugin, but they are giving it away for free. I personally don’t understand why you would care at all.

I’m no fan of Behringer and have zero behringer gear in my studio, but one thing I like about them is how they highlight how companies try to hold a monopoly over the designs of musical instruments, and now it seem software instruments as well…

Did Tone2 license Moog, Roland or (insert analog synth here) when it designed and replicated the sound of vintage analog synths for its plugins? If not, that sort of hypocrisy is very off putting in my personal opinion.
