Blue lcd screen - seriously? There are hundreds out there with blue screens.
Wood trim - nah. Completely different wood trim, and almost every VA coded in the last 15 yrs has wood trim. How can they not all look similar? If anything, at least Behringer went to the effort to give the wood some grain and character. The Tone2 one is lazy by comparison. TBH it's a weird day in musicland when a Behringer product looks posher

We are not collaborating with Behringer in any way. We are not responsible for the graphics, sound engine or anything else related to 'Behringer'. We have not licensed our graphics or art style to Behringer and are currently investigating whether our intellectual rights have been infringed.
Shall we look through the KVR database to see how many plugins looked as similar to yours many many years before yours even existed?
Behringer have a past and it is not particularly nice either, depending on how you perceive it, but wait, what about peoples perception of plugins that call home, yes you have a past too, depending on how you perceive it.

Lets not get all high and mighty because you have decided to not make new plugins and everyones favourite whipping boy (Behringer) come out with a freebie that uses a colour you once used.

If you want to make money, release a new plugin that everybody wants to use, a court case (which you have no intention of, you are just seeking attention) against Behringer with such a frivolous claim will just make you a laughing stock.

Top licensed from AAS, bottom licensed from AAS, or are we missing something?

Wow to the pic and ah to the reply.

I’ve not read all the thread or clicked on any Beh links, but is the licensing confirmed elsewhere or just plain obvious from the pic…?

I can only imagine it was AI generated, not programmed by a real dev.

This must be the most pointless 10 page discussion in the history of kvr. I’d love to see a lawyer try and prove it’s a rip off of Saurus. Every vst is made up of graphics in different orders. Good luck with that Markus 🤷‍♂️

English readers probably know of Colin the Caterpillar….
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

The AAS version looks completely different.

You can't be serious. Try not to minimize things into just generic blue screens and wood trim, but actually look, with your eyes, at the two guis. If you cannot see the similarities in art style then you might need vision correction.

The same backlight bleed, the same overly soft gradients, the same knob style. It's a clear style copy from Tone2. Forget the layout. I'm looking at the graphical style. Yes, there is some AAS layout copying too. But the larger look and feel is Tone2 styled.

And, again, several people initially thought it was a Tone2 derived product...

I feel like that's one of their marketing techniques. They know people will talk about them if they do something that's probably technically legal but also obviously scummy. Some people will be turned off, many people won't care, and some people will actively support them because they identify with "sticking it to the man" with or without recognizing the inherent irony in that (like the MAGA hat folks).

I said a few years ago, I don't want to use a Behringer product even if they were giving them away for free. Now at last, I have proof!

Most of the similarities between the two pieces were not protected by copyright law, Scola said, including the basic idea of "affixing a banana to a vertical plane using duct tape."
Differences, meanwhile, included "the banana used," "the angle at which it is placed," and "the exacting standards that Cattelan developed for Comedian's display," the judge said.
"To find otherwise would further limit the already finite number of ways in which a banana may be legally taped to a wall without infringing on Morford’s work," Scola said.

That forest is looking pretty rotten, considering the thinly veiled racism in it too. Wasn't expecting to put someone on the ignore list today, but here we are.

It's one of those peculiar occasions where, when someone adds something to an environment, the environment is going to shrink.

It runs on my PC, but I never got around to registering it yesterday. When I tried to register it just now, it doesn't work and goes to that same page saying that the correct page is missing.
