Reminds me of when apple tried to stop Samsung producing a phone because it had 'rounded corners'
How original

They should use their powers for good and make a synth "inspired by" Absynth 5. Just make it about 20% different and a bunch of people on kvr will come out and say that the two have nothing to do with each other, a thing which is both admissible in court and 100% guaranteed to be effective against a company that actually has money and lawyers.

One says, "it's a Tone2 Saurus copy!"
Another says, "it's an Ableton Analog copy!"
The third says, "it's an AAS Ultra Analog copy!"

But they're all right, and wrong at the same time.
Because really, it's just another Behringer.
Either way it's further evidence that the vast majority of the people at the company have not come up with an original idea in their entire lives.

And yet they have figured out ways to make vintage sounding Synths at low price points and have come up with all new synth designs

Why haven't other companies been able to do the same? Even when they are reissuing their own synth designs?

And what is so unique about Saurus? It's an emulation after all

R&D costs a lot. So do quality components. So does paying workers a fair wage. So it's actually easy to do when you take 50 year old designs, update them with cheap components, then mass produce them with slave labour in a Chinese prison colony.

Ethics, morals, human decency.

If ethics and morals means so much about you why are lying about Behringer being a prison colony?

If you are so worried about paying a workers a fair wage why do own the electronic device you are using to post here made in China?

Post

Yet companies like Moog endlessly copy 50 yr old designs, update them with cheap components, then mass produce them in a Chinese prison colony...but they're heroes. :dog:

Or is it because Moog are making America great again - or more like making China even greater again?

The Beringer sound like a toy from the 90 VA era.
An epic faill. Surge XT, Tyrell, Odin 2 sound way better.

Decent ? Model 80 sound terrific, probably the best Prophet V modeling
Prophet-5. "Prophet V" is Arturia's emulation of the Prophet-5.
I was talking about the hardware
Yes and the hardware isn't called "Prophet V", it's called the Prophet-5.

I assume this is a rhetorical question as Saurus is only an emulation of analog circuits. It certainly isn't an emulation of any existing synth. Plenty about it that is unique. The Behringer VST appears to be an existing VST with a new UI slapped on.

Tone2 made a piece of software that goes bleep bloop. Did they pay everyone else who made software or hardware that makes bleep bloop noises? What about the inventor of the oscillator? No? Then they're hypocrites. Now all Behringer is doing is releasing a software that goes bleep bloop, how can you say that Tone2 invented that? Tone2 didn't invent software, or synthesizers, or colors, or pixels, so I don't even need to look at the two pieces of software to draw my false equivalencies.

The original link is no longer working FYI, did behringer hear about this thread?

Only they didn't clone your GUI not by a long shot.

Your GUI obviously copies vintage synth designs, Behringer uses wood grain but mainly has a large window that displays information your plugin doesn't

Both GUIs has different controls

I have your plugin, I also downloaded Behringer's their GUI is far superior as it's focused more in displaying helpful information rather than fake wood grain and fake knobs
i agree with you the behringer looks better
can’t wait to try it out so i don’t have to read all the pointless bashing of it , when it is free and will probably get updated loads , excited to see if the daw is still coming and more synths
