Instead of posting a new thread each time I release a new freebie, I decided to create one big thread and post about the new free plugins and updates in it.
I've just released a new free plugin called "Virtual Handpan." As its name suggests, it's a handpan plugin based on a physical model. You can hear a demo track for it on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmv3vGEt2yk
The plugin is available as a VST/VST3/AU plugin for Windows and macOS (64-bit only). You can get it here: https://www.samplescience.info/2023/10/ ... ndpan.html
The instrument has some limitations. The main one is the lack of velocity variations in the tone of the handpan.
Today, I uploaded a new demo track for Nu Guzheng, my Chinese harp plugin. Check it out:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHeh2Hy2Bzk
It sounds pretty nice.
Nu Guzheng is available as a VST/VST3/AU plugin for Windows and macOS and a Decent Sampler library.
You can get it here: https://www.samplescience.info/2021/05/nu-guzheng.html
I'm currently updating my whole catalog (80+ plugins). The updates include new UI, new effects, and multiple bug fixes.
Let me know if you have any questions regarding the instruments. Cheers!

I've just released a new free plugin: VHS Noise Generator.
https://youtu.be/qEkjgkAlL8A?si=Xr5CI_zGtNbHnNQD
The plugin has 26 VHS background noise. Every noise in the collection is the sound produced during the initial moments of silence after a tape is inserted and played.
I hope you'll like it!

I'm happy to announce the completion of a new project, Wolf Cat Beats! This drum module features drum kits crafted using the Akai Rhythm Wolf and the Tom Cat, along with a selection of distortion and fuzz pedals.
The analog drum machine drum kits can be shaped using onboard effects and multi-LFO, which is definitely good for creating techno sounds.
It's a good alternative to the usual 808/909 combo.

I've just released a new free plugin: Majestic Celesta! A celesta is a bell piano that sounds like a cross between a Fender Rhodes and a glockenspiel!
This is the kind of sound you would use to create music for a medieval fairy-tale-style video game.
Check it out! https://www.samplescience.info/2024/04/ ... lesta.html

Thank you for making a Decent Sampler version, so that we Linux users can benefit as well!SampleScience wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2024 2:55 am https://youtu.be/rn8Fpj0VKdo?si=nvCxQUA1Q1k_3euC

C/R, dongles & other intrusive copy protection equals less-control & more-hassle for consumers. Company gone-can’t authorize. Limit to # of auths. Instability-ie PACE. Forced internet auths. THE HONEST ARE HASSLED, NOT THE PIRATES.

I've been using Linux Mint for almost a decade now. If it weren't for FL Studio and my plugin production, I would use it exclusively.audiojunkie wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 1:24 pmThank you for making a Decent Sampler version, so that we Linux users can benefit as well!SampleScience wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2024 2:55 am https://youtu.be/rn8Fpj0VKdo?si=nvCxQUA1Q1k_3euC

I created a Virtual Suiko which is a digital synthesizer that reproduces the sound of traditional Japanese instruments.
I think it sounds pretty cool!
It's free by entering 0 in the price field: https://www.samplescience.info/2024/05/ ... suiko.html
