I have been totally immersed in SS2 for the last day or so and haven't made a comment on the package. And, I am not about to give up some music making time to post a long message here at this time, but I do want to make a quick comment

To install the sounds you simply insert the DVD into your drive and drag and drop the sounds to wherever you want. If you want to use it instantly in ST2 with your other ST2 sounds then drag it into your ST2Instruments folder.

If the DVD is whirring and not working in your drive then email shipping@esoundz.com to see if you could get a replacement. There are two types of DVDs that we have so perhaps they can send you the other type to see if THAT works better for your drive. Or you can try again a few times to see if your drive is just acting up (which I've experienced... sometimes restarting helps too).

Hmmm. I have an Alienware laptop with a QSI CDRW/DVD SBW242U drive. It has no problem playing DVD movies! I just tried both DVD's on my son's Dell laptop. The same problem occurs. It sure looks like there is nothing on the DVDs. I will email the support folks.
This is disappointing!

so i will have to use words like brilliant ,fantastic,nice one,jolly good show,it is every thing you said it would be, out of this world,the only problem is how can you cap this,when you have produced something that is this good wow what will be next

Sorry, errors can occur. But, email sales@esoundz.com and tell them your problem. Probably, if you send back the discs for a replacement they'll even give you some ePointz for the trouble. However, if you want them to just send you new sound discs they'll do that too (and you can just throw yours out since they sound faulty).

Either way, they'll send it out on Monday for you.

Thanks guys. I only wish this was also said outside of our company forum (where people already have an idea about SR sounds). I wonder how many people don't know how you feel about this plug-in in the KVR instruments forum or other forums on the net. I guess it's still just the loyal Sonic Synth 1 upgraders who have it but still... please spread the word! Especially since the boxes are here and the full version is shipping for anyone to get (no more pre-order).

As to what will be next... how do you top? Well, we're not trying to top what we're doing (although actually I do have one thing in mind to that effect but I will share with you in a little while). You guys know we're doing Studiophonik so you can pretty much expect the same degree of craziness except just specifically for a virtual band of instruments with nearly every brand of drum, guitar and bass (plus some nice keys and horns to fill out the group). A "studio instrument" workstation. But, if you come to NAMM you may see something else we've been cooking up with IK. Naturally I can't say a word! :shock:

There are some really cool things going on. HAPPY NEW YEAR btw. I've been so busy. Soon I will tell you about some interesting news about a gig we are doing around NAMM time. The special guests joining us are pretty freakin' awesome!!!! I mean YES they will be good! (hint) and even some of the ELEMENTS will be involved too (another hint, and I am not just talking about SS2 Elements although that WILL be the axe I am playing :D ). I'll tell you more soon but some of you can guess. It might be worth traveling a long distance to come see the show. :o

I have only scratched the surface, but what I have heard so far is excellent. Lots of wonderful sounds. Lots of possibilities. Trying to write something for the winter contest with significant SS2 contributions.

Well we know you and Jon Anderson are acquainted, and could the elements possibly involve earth and/or wind and/or fire?

Hmmmm. Maybe so! We'll have to see. I emailed Nick D'Virgilio from Spock's Beard to see if he'll join us controlling SR drum samples from a V-Drum kit. But, I may do some live I-Map drumming too which would be... different! I was thinking how pretentious and hilarious it would be if I did a keyboard drum SOLO! :lol: Maybe get the lights to do that flickering drum solo thing right on the keys. Silly! But, I don't know. We're doing a real eclectic set. Guitars through AmpliTube and various instruments from SampleTank 2 and Sonik Synth 2 LIVE with all kinds of cool musicians joining me. We have some preliminary guests. I don't know how nuts I want to go with it though. It's not a long set. Depending on who is available though it could be an impressive and odd line up. If you guys have the opportunity to go to NAMM (like you Prog who are in California and will definitely like THIS) you should go. I'll comp my KVR friends tickets if you come by the IK booth (I think we'll have a bunch... I'll give them away until my alottment runs out at least. )

If the line up ends up being what it is shaping up to be (and actually even if it isn't it is still going to be good) then there is a very good chance it will be video taped. There are some things that I have on video that we don't really release but perhaps are interesting. Anyone want to see Stevie Wonder playing an I-Map kit from an early version of Sonik Synth 2 at the last NAMM show? I don't know if we got it all on video but I know some of it.
