Concert hearing protection?

I’m going to see King Crimson (well, a new version of it without Robert Fripp) in September, despite my having sworn off concerts due to often extreme volume levels. I’m wondering if anyone can recommend hearing protection that might offer more fidelity than standard ear plugs.

The ones which are custom moulded to your own ears. Will cost as much as a King Crimson ticket, but should last a lifetime.
NB: they were obnoxiously loud in 1985 already, I guess regulations have put some "limit" on that...

I do not attend concerts, but I use the Shure KSE1500, which are IEMs that have 37db of attenuation. I use them most frequently on long transit routes.
