that helps, thanks.
currently, adult me is winning "yeah but we got pudding last week with the cloud busting and loopman".
that helps, thanks.
I've been eyeing up the MIDI Thing 2 since it was announced! Finally a MIDI interface with a lot of outputs that can be connected with USB from inside the case; I want to have an "invisible" connection to computer.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Mon Apr 29, 2024 4:38 pm Juno finally have these bad boys in stock so got one arriving tomorrow.
Not had much time to play with it yet but if it does what I am hoping it does then I can probably use it to directly pass CV from VCV rack into my hardware. The basic MIDI functionality works great and it's nice it can directly output an envelope rather than just a gate or trigger so it can go directly into a VCA.elxsound wrote: Wed May 01, 2024 8:18 pm Damn!!! That looks great
You can’t have your pudding if you don’t eat your meat!!vurt wrote: Wed May 01, 2024 6:27 pm the child in me keeps pointing out ive ordered nothing but utility modules

Thanks, I made the mistake of watching their walkthrough and I'm blown away by how useful this could be!WatchTheGuitar wrote: Thu May 02, 2024 12:12 amNot had much time to play with it yet but if it does what I am hoping it does then I can probably use it to directly pass CV from VCV rack into my hardware. The other thing that didn't immediately work was trying to get my macbook to pick up the signal from the USB C attachment but it may be fussy about leads so I'll have to grab a bunch to find one that works.
I watched that one yesterday, but kept thinking it’s a lot of hp for similar sounding effects. I think they’re too close to each other be significantly different.
true, i already started a noise box thing with springs and bits, but being borderline adhd managed to drill two holes, attach one spring, then started recording itelxsound wrote: Thu May 02, 2024 5:14 pmI watched that one yesterday, but kept thinking it’s a lot of hp for similar sounding effects. I think you could make a better Error Garden with multiple wired piezo pickups attached to different noisemakers. Lullaby makes it seem like it’d be very easy to make.
It’s a shame this can’t handle audio because otherwise it could be the perfect vcv to modular (and potentially back) solution.elxsound wrote: Thu May 02, 2024 12:45 am I wouldn't mind adding VCV and then selling off Hector. They added Midi Thing Bridge at the 10-minute mark, and it looks too easy (in a good way).
You took the engineering term "rapid prototyping" to a new level!vurt wrote: Thu May 02, 2024 5:17 pmtrue, i already started a noise box thing with springs and bits, but being borderline adhd managed to drill two holes, attach one spring, then started recording itelxsound wrote: Thu May 02, 2024 5:14 pmI watched that one yesterday, but kept thinking it’s a lot of hp for similar sounding effects.
