Agree. This was the first software phaser that really blew me away. Mind you, for me I really only use it for a relatively narrow sort of sound (deep, throaty).

What I like is that you can get really dirty sounds out of it as well.
It's really the best there is.

Yup, me too. I bought Mobilohm, and TBH I only really use it for weird phasing tricks and mangling. For straight forward phasing, I usually end up with Supaphaser. Excellent for deep and dirty sweeping with only a few voices, and thick and creamy with all 23 (or however many it has).
Funny, innit? You'd think a phaser is a phaser is a phaser. But so many VST phasers sound so limp and pathetic. Supaphaser sounds like some of those old pedals you used to get.

But of course, it's The Supa-Phaser.
'An arm, you goose! Who ever saw one that size? Why, it fills the whole window!'
'Sure, it does, yer honour: but it's an arm for all that.'

SupaPhaser is capable of all the modulation effects, to my ear. It's good as a gentle thickener, a stereo image spreader, a chorus... The only thing I can't coax from it is deep flanging. And I've only been playing with it for less than a month (since apulsoft ported it to OS X) .
Excuse me, I gotta go donate some money to Bram now...
I hate sounding like a pom pom girl, but I swear this is an awesome plug.

I kind of agree with Jeez. Not that I want to bash a freebie or anything (especially one that does still reside in my plug-ins folder), I just generally find Supaphaser too metallic (for lack of a better more under used word) for my tastes. Personally I'm a big big fan of the Kjaerhus' Classic Phaser over Supaphaser myself, but thank god we have the options.
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

Well being the type that likes synced-oscillator poly chords, and harsh leads, and distorted resonant low-passed saw basses, that may be just the reason I like it. I agree it does have a bit of an edge to it.Funkybot wrote: I just generally find Supaphaser too metallic (for lack of a better more under used word) for my tastes.
Yes Funkybot, thank God for options. A 'soft' phaser would probably bore me...

Did you have the opportunity to test ours (Blue Cat's Phaser, also known as Space Phaser)? It's another optionPersonally I'm a big big fan of the Kjaerhus' Classic Phaser over Supaphaser myself, but thank god we have the options.
It's available here (freeware):
