Buy a copy of Live 3 (there are still some floating around, at good prices) and don't upgrade it -- just rewire to Reason. I still use Live 3 this way with FLS and have never felt the need to upgrade.

nothing, it just tempts me to use vsts again thats all.
Don't blame you at all. I've often been tempted by the stability and low cpu of Reason. Good luck on your quest.

ttoz wrote:thanks for the good wishes. It seems I have to stick with live anyway to audition loops. I will also need to get adobe audition as I need a basic mastering pack.
I would advise you to wait and see if the M Class mastering tools in Reason 3 are as good as rumoured - according to the beta tester crowd they *exceed* TRacks and Ozone, which is awesome if true :hyper:
But I must admit I do find live's audio engine lacking. at low buffer settings at moderate cpu load its very pop and click and slow gui.
I agree. In fact I'm having real doubts about Live 4, as you may have spotted on other threads :(

ttoz wrote: yes that IS exciting news, with the problem being it wont load audio files still.
I have heard accounts *cough* from those who have loaded audio files and/or old Reason files of theirs into NN-XT and then processed them through MClass - with excellent results. It will be worth trying this.

Yep :D
Welcome to the world of reason ttoz :hihi:
Btw. you can load the vocals in redrum & slice it up so it fits in your mix
That is my workaround until the props get to there senses and include audio in reason.

Anyway happy exploring (The more you dig the more you get out of it)
