I owned a Rheem Organ for quite some time. The one with the bass boost lever that looked like a throttle in a cockpit, and the reverse grey/white keys. It died for good one day, but as it went, I captured it's final tortured notes on tape. The bass end sounded fantastic, the organ was pretty poor, but it was gorgeous.

Funny, looks good with my new (black) computer and my new (black) 23" Sony widescreen LCD panel. Black is the new black

prettiest and nastiest of the bunch here has to be the juno60 (although my vote would go for the jupiter series too if I had one)
Fizmo has a great purplish blue tint though

The ugliest synth ever produced has to be the early edition of the Korg Poly-800. The Yamaha YS-100 is a very close second.
Still love it to death, though.
The Korg MS-20 is among the prettiest synths. PPG did an analog mono that's very pretty, too.
Groet, Erik

oh, in that case I want ION (much cheaper and equally good looking.Warmonger wrote:It's a Neuron. It looks great in that picture, but the wooden end-panel on the right hand side is a terrible idea.
I think it's beautiful (different taste obviously). Pulse looks good to me, too.daniel-b wrote: Waldorf Q (the yellow version!)

hey puRe,
Have you got Hartmann, Ion, Nord Electro and Nord Lead?
Do you play with somebody well-known (like Rambo, he he)?
I've got Electro, too (it's great).

(is gear cheaper down there? I'm in Novi Sad at least 3 times a year, I could pop by)

To add some of my favourites to the list:
Beautiful:
Jupiter 6 (I like it more then the 8a. Optically it was my dream synth when I was a young teenager)
Synton Syrinx
Moog modular and the TONTO for the wall of sound knobs (
both meanings)
Here's the Moog Modular with lots of colors.
Alesis Aurora Upright version (!)
Ugly:
Korg poly-800 (version 1)
Moog Rogue
In a way this one is both ugly and beautiful: ATA Studio One
