Slight randomization of filter cutoff and volume levels. Probably insanely slight (resistor and capacitor values (measured not rated) for nice gear are generally matched very closely so probably in the area of 0.01% or less). Just a fun gimmick as sometimes different units sound different. I'd like to see all this stuff fully user tuneable (like in the cytomic distortion pedal). I guess I'll give it a go for 30$. I'm not a mastering engineer so I didn't get to fired up about this.worldfever wrote: Sun Sep 03, 2023 12:33 am "A sound that’s unique to your serial number
In the analog world, every piece of hardware will sound slightly different due to tolerance variances and factors like age. When you load SILVER BULLET mk2 onto a track, the plugin implements a unique built-to-order version of the digital model associated with your particular license. The DYNA REALISM™ modes sound different based on the serial number used, and you can specify any six-digit serial number you like."
lmao what
LOUDER THAN LIFTOFF Silver Bullet mk2

Wondered that one too before I clicked 'buy' ... They give you a code on purchase that you then redeem at https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/activate.html (so essentially you add it to your PA account via the activation code)sacer wrote: Wed May 29, 2024 7:57 am If you buy it from their website, do you own it in Plugin Alliance account after or is it separate?

They have some excellent saturation tools.
Elysia, Lindell, Bax and Amek all have some excellent plug ins.

For the lazy people:
https://louderthanliftoff.com/products/ ... mk2-plugin
Do not sit on this, it's great. And buying from the site the developer receives a lot more revenue than via PA.

I FOMO'd myself into buying last night, from LTL's site, which I don't regret because that $20 sale is already over.
Demoed ... and at first I was like, ok another saturator I have plenty ... but with all the praise surrounding it I decided maybe read the manual, watched some videos, and then it clicked and I went back and demoed some more. Very well designed UX and saturated with attention to detail. Found it to be a joy to play with once I understood the controls better.

I guess I'll have to do that too because it hasn't worked for me on anything since I've bought it.kidslow wrote: Wed Aug 28, 2024 11:18 pm I FOMO'd myself into buying last night, from LTL's site, which I don't regret because that $20 sale is already over.

This video is not going to appeal to most. He basically just goes through the manual and is 100% talking. Almost the exact opposite tack of "Snake Oil" Whytse, who never reads the manual and just fiddles, but does jabber a lot. I kind of like Adam's earnest enthusiasm and lack of pretensions. Anyway I found it helpful. YMMV

Kidslow, since you also have several saturators, I'm curious.... what does this plugin do that can't already be done with Wavesfactory Spectre (or FF Saturn) plus FF Pro-Q?kidslow wrote: Wed Aug 28, 2024 11:18 pm I FOMO'd myself into buying last night, from LTL's site, which I don't regret because that $20 sale is already over.

FWIW, I owned a 1st gen LTL Silver Bullet hardware unit for several years, so I know the real one pretty well.

Mainly I found it to be an excellent first choice for saturation on busses, and nothing else I have compared favorably in that role. I focused on how does this plugin steer my choices given the limitations it imposes, and how pleasing is it to interface.billinder33 wrote: Thu Aug 29, 2024 4:38 pm Kidslow, since you also have several saturators, I'm curious.... what does this plugin do that can't already be done with Wavesfactory Spectre (or FF Saturn) plus FF Pro-Q?
If Spectre (or Saturn) ever dropped to $20 I would surely snag them at that price, but they were not part of my comparisons. They likely overlap more than any of the ones I did test, and you might be able to duplicate enough for your taste with multiple other plugins. I go that route to get to my destination some times, but typically not as elegant. Don't let me dissuade you, but do take it for a trial and open plugin doctor and see & hear what can be done for yourself.
