If I'd won the lottery I'd buy one tomorrow. :)

Probably the best digital synth you could buy. I'll make do with my MODX6.

Montage M8x is a fantastic instrument.
As nice as it is, some things could still be improved.

AN-X is a good start, but I'd like to see it expanded with more Filter options (more character)... and more articulation options (Mono/Legato that still offers control of filter cutoff with velocity).

Don't know if it's possible (seems the underlying hardware is there), but disk-streaming of samples would take this instrument to another level.

Wish it wasn't quite so large/heavy!

Otherwise, there's not much left to want.

Shame about the price. Maybe they will do a MODX M version who knows.

I'm sure Yamaha will release a "MODX M"... but I'm guessing it'll be a while.

M8X sure isn't cheap... but it's a lot more affordable than the Nord Stage 4 ($5700) or the Quantum 2 ($6000).

I drove to Sweetwater with the intention of buying the Quantum 2 (finally in-stock).
During the 3-hour drive, I decided that it just wasn't a practical purchase.
Fantastic synth... but $6k made me reevaluate the "need". :D
