Terribly ugly, Korg DSS-1 sampler/synth. A great bargain though if you can find one today.

The Neko thingy is just plain ugly to me. I just don't think putting a qwerty keyboard on a synth/workstation (or whatever it is) is a good idea. A simple keyboard jack (so you could connect your own keyboard) would've accomplished the same thing more elegantly.

as far as prettiest... i've always been a fan of my JX-10. the thing just screams "industrial" to me. the virus c is another nice looking synth, and i can still remember fantasizing daily about the quasimidi sirius.

on the other hand... the DX7 was pretty bad, and the roland fantom keeps getting progressively worse about every 4-6 months... which seems to be how often they release a new one. the original e-mu proteus keyboards were hideous too.

If you are 'a bit' handy you can adapt an Andromeda to your wishes and call it Alesis Another Aurora (or whatever name you like

)

I happen to like the yellow Waldorfs myself(I've got a yellow microQ in the rack sitting next to me)

.I think they're much more appealing that the me-too blue...
