for years and years, i didn't know that this song was a cover
i thought that it was just a unique, really great classic rock song

the sets of words weren't typical and i was kind of wowed a little bit
the "star bright, star bright" part made me think of...
the baby jesus and the three wise men
well, the band's name is nazareth after all

when i found out waaay later that it's a cover, i was surprised
i was even more surprised that the original is by joni mitchell

it's subjective and just my opinion but to me...
her version didn't stand out as much as the cover version
the cover version really rocked, even if the melodies and lyrics..
were kept basically the same
