if they think that they can keep it alive by only releasing sound packs, then you are right.
the question is: what happens to our "Lifetime" licenses when they fold?

I think we should all just come here and talk about what it could have beenCaine123 wrote: Sat Jun 01, 2024 7:00 pmoh awesome thanks for the info!
do we want to organize a stream or something? maybe everyone a local party with a big celebration. some kind of slogan "pay $480 without getting new instruments for 2 years" or something "Limited Deal".

another joke was the release of RCM 3.1.4 and there were several reports of people not being able to use their instruments etc. then roland uploaded the RCM 3.1.3 again and i dunno if 3.1.4 works now but shows you how crappy their cloud is. and this issue is nothing new with them

Underlying pretty much every Roland Cloud Plugin is an emulator for their custom bespoke chips that are in their hardware. That way they can just port the code over from the hardware. While they can and do make a few tweaks to it, essentially all of them are the same code as the hardwareSLiC wrote: Sat Jun 01, 2024 6:16 pmYeh, a few of us asked last time if this could be added since many of us own a lot of the instrumen5ts now so if they don't add anything new there isn't much left to own...Examigan wrote: Sat Jun 01, 2024 6:04 pm I'd buy Zenology Pro if it was on sale, but not at the regular price. It's not a choice in the Play-4-Life anyway.![]()
And that's the issue, Roland hasn't made or invested in new hardware for a long time now. It's been all Zencore all the time, and before that it was all ACB all the time
Eventually Roland will come out with something new for their hardware, and then we will get new instruments, at that point Zencore like ACB before it, and Supernatural before that will be abandonware and Zenology Pro will become discounted and/part of the promotions
We still won't get any actual new instruments as the first thing they will do is remake the Jupiter 8, Juno, SH01 and all the other classic Roland instruments

Hey y’all! Im sure you all know who I am at this point but in case you don't my name is Jon and I work for Roland Cloud. We will be hosting another GALAXIAS Roundtable on June 13th and are looking for available participants! If you participated in the last roundtable and would like to do join again, feel free to message me as well! We would love to have you back.
Our roundtables are a chance for the GALAXIAS development team to hear user feedback directly from the Roland community and better get to know community members. Since we released GALAXIAS we have been making consistent updates to its features and workflow and would love to know your thoughts about where it’s going and give you the chance to talk to our team about what you’d like to see.
If you are interested feel free to send me a private message or e-mail me at Jon.Scheid@Roland.com
Looking forward to it and let me know if you have any more questions!

hi jon. nice to see you back.
i have not seen any interest in GALAXIAS by anyone in this thread. yet all the "community feedback" so freely given here about what the community does want is ignored. very sad.
is there a NEW INSTRUMENTS development team? and i don't mean new sound packs. or patches. i don't consider those new instruments. yet everytime the RCM says "new instrument available", that is all i ever find.
if you read through this thread for the last few pages, you must have noticed that many subscribers (including me) have cancelled their subscriptions. offering the PLAY-4-LIFE promotion won't bring these subscribers back because new Lifetime licenses are useless if there are no new interesting (actual) instruments.
sorry, i understand you are just the messenger. but if you guys are really interested in community feedback, maybe you can pass on this thread to the decision makers.
