What do you mean if it is true? :).
I screened shot it from my factory bank.

Since the authors of the plugin are ESL, I'm sure there was some misunderstanding etc.
Nah, they claimed to understand how it sounded and would be interpreted.

Not really important in the global scheme of things, of course, just a set of words on a synth, but zero misunderstanding shown in their subsequent statements (and no, I'm not 'offended' at all by the preset name, before any numbskull parrots that accusation. )
I lost my heart in Cap de Creus

I believe your screenshot is real. I do not know who the preset namer is, since syntonica said the company itself is "ESL", but sometimes they contract others to make presets.

It's not abandoned. We probably get a new update by November or December again with some small fixes as proof of life so the sale can go on.

Yikes! If it's true the preset namer is not a fluent English speaker and unfamiliar with the culturally dominant English-speaking culture (the United States ), then it's understandable they may not know it's sexist in origin
Some sayings transcend language barriers and I think it is silly to pretend otherwise.
In my opinion the preset author has an artistic right to name a sound how they like, just like a musician who's lyrics might offend it is an artistic choice .Some of greatest tunes ever created will be cancelled at this rate.

But all the cancellations in the world won't stop people thinking certain things that others find offensive.

Oh, FFS.

"Clean up my room, bitch" isn't some culturally nuanced statement.

It's unequivocally misogynistic crap.

The artist/creator has every right to name a sound how they like but we as consumers have every right to call out their cringey edgelord nonsense.

Yeah and as a consumer I have the right to call you out as a thin skinned woke killjoy.
All you are doing is advertising and advocating hurt feeling reports.

But a professionally run company if you can call, 'Parawave' a company (a small developer of two people would be more exact) that uses language that can be deemed sexist in their communications or products they provide will be held accountable by those who see it and will be judged. Ultimately, it's about respect for the product, the users, and the image of the company as a whole. If a company can't hold up its hands and listen to feedback, accept responsibility, politely respond, and do something about it then its public image will ultimately suffer as a result, which applies to any public-facing company.
_____________

As for their radio silence, and keeping its users up to date, it seems like they simply don't care, and the plans that they described such as a new routing system as I remember it have simply not followed through to completion and are still up in the air. Rapid as is, works out of the box, and is still a solid and powerful synth and for that, it's going to come down to the community that uses it to support each other be that through presets, audio clips or skins in which to use until any light comes out this dark tunnel that Parawave have created for themselves.

Oh the architect who started the whole bitch fest.
Do you not see you are being derogatory to Companies that have a small workforce.
You should be cancelled for that alone.

Why are you trying to defend them? It's not my fault in how they reacted and since conducted themselves. I highlighted it because it was in their best interest as a developer to recognise how the language they used was inappropriate within a product they were selling. The vast majority of this forum agreed with me. The community held them accountable.

I am not trying to defend them, they don't need my defence anyway.
In my opinion you over amped the case against them due to the fact a preset name hurt you so much you created a thread about it. That was your hurt feeling report.

You coerced Parawave, you exploited an obvious loophole and from my memory only a couple of mugs backed you up. Don't forget about the silent majority.

Ok, I'm a pretty smart guy, my skills in life and qualifications do back this up, but it sounds like I'm talking to a 15 /16 year-old teenager. I'll try not to laugh at what you just posted. :-D
