Maybe have a look at Zynaptiq's Adaptiverb?

Also, using Lexicon 224 as an insert at 100% (Solo), then running that into the effects send at 100% is giving me nice results, although I'm losing the panning in OB-E by doing that.

Are you using the UAD one? I find that it sounds alot less wet than other verbs when it's an insert, I'm turning up the wet mix higher than with other reverbs I have.

Yes, the UAD one.

do you find it to be less obviously wet at less than 50%?

Haven’t noticed, probably because I rarely use it as an insert. Usually it’s on a send at 100%.

The new Blackhole Immersive is even better with true stereo field
egbert101 wrote: Sat Jun 01, 2024 11:49 pm There are a lot of these types of videos, and most sound like the same synth. I assume Omnisphere? Maybe its built in reverb. All extremely good sound design.
Yes Omnisphere is a good one for ambient. But honestly i'm not using so much the internal effects.
They are not bad. I have way better for my taste.

This one short track is with 2 multiple channel Omnisphere
Effect : UAD Brigade Chorus, Relab LX480, Pulsar Audio Echorec, IK Multimedia TEAC A-6100, Pulsar Audio Massive and Mu.

All the other suggestions would definitely be worth trying, but I'd also recommend having a look / trialling the new one from Aberrant, called Lair. I just made a tiny demo video of it here after giving the trial version a test and then snagging it for the very reasonable introductory price.

That's a great UI.

There is not really one Plugin to achieve this but many of them. It is more about how the Reverb is sculpt around the Sound. The mentioned Abbey Road Reverb Trick would surely be a good starting point. In the End, Pad and Reverb should become one Entity from a Sound - Design perspective instead of just adding some Reverb to a Sound.
The essential part of this technique is to set the equalizer's high-pass filter to a 12 or 18dB/octave slope and cut everything below 600Hz (that's right, 600Hz). Set the low-pass filter with the same slope and cut everything above 10kHz. There you have it, the reverb EQ that Abbey Road has been using since the '60s

I am having goodluck with ni raum turning a sample of a refrigerator into a pad.. I found that spending my days catagorizing all those plugins in cherry was worth while. I start with a minute sample and use various effects on it... Today I am looking for a normaliser vst because I want to keep my recording mistake as texture but I need it to be a lower sound.
