If you really want to make GALAXIAS a killer tool just allow it to host any VST3 instrument not just Roland plugins

Then give it 8 audio inputs and 8 audio outputs that can see your interface

Doing so would allow it to be used in standalone mode as a pretty killer live player instrument, one that would go head to head with Mainstage or Gigperformer

The 8 inputs would allow the use of external hardware synths as part of your layered patch, or since it would be able to host VST effects allow processing of other plugins not being hosted internal to the software

The closed garden eco system of all Roland all the time is really limiting it's appeal

yeah it is a frustrating ordeal.

it could be so good.

SVC350 / SBF325 etc. The various tape/echo delays. The digital studiorackverbs. SP404v / TR8S v, Roland R8Max. RS202 / VP330, VSynthGT-V, JP8080, Alpha Juno, MKS-7/30/70/80

I gave up.

The whole cloud app and its millions of connections to wherever.
The fact I can't choose anything worthy anymore. No I dont need a brass SRX.
Also the zenologyPro that will cost you more than an Integra7 2nd hand with all the wave expansions sold separatly, is just an insult imo

Isn't an Integra7 about $1,000 or more used?
Zenology Pro is $229 and the Zenology Pro Collection is $599.

I do wish they'd put ZenPro on sale like I mentioned a few times before.

We will be hosting another GALAXIAS Roundtable on June 13th and are looking for available participants! If you participated in the last roundtable and would like to do join again, feel free to message me as well! We would love to have you back.

Our roundtables are a chance for the GALAXIAS development team to hear user feedback directly from the Roland community and better get to know community members. Since we released GALAXIAS we have been making consistent updates to its features and workflow and would love to know your thoughts about where it’s going and give you the chance to talk to our team about what you’d like to see.

If you are interested feel free to send me a private message or e-mail me at Jon.Scheid@Roland.com

Looking forward to it and let me know if you have any more questions!

Hi Jon

I think this whole thread speaks volumes on just unhappy Roland cloud users really are which many have now looked elsewhere for different versions of synths from other company’s that are equally as good and sell for peanuts on weekend deals, with no additions being made available it’s almost a no brainer for people to jump ship

I think it’s fair to say the RC subscription has lost interest for many and a vast majority of people would just like to actually buy Roland’s awesome sounding plug-ins at a reasonable asking price

Your thoughts ?
live 11 / Arturia collection / many Softube plug ins / thats it

I think it’s fair to say the RC subscription has lost interest for many and it’s seen as ridiculous and a vast majority of people would just like to actually buy Roland’s awesome sounding plug-ins individually at a reasonable asking price

Roland’s legacy is absolutely awesome on every level ,so many awesome intruments that have changed music as we know it but I feel it’s being tarnished by RC

That bundle doesn’t include the 15 EXZ expansions ($20 each). So add another $300 for the expansion cards.

If you want the other presets then there’s also 137 (currently) SDZ expansions (which they raised the price of, to $10 each, after SDZ100 - because subscription), the 15 model expansion packs ($20 each), and the 12 Zenology soundpacks ($10 each). Total $1039, not including any EXZ, based on buying the SDZ 1-100 bundle for $249 - which they once sold, on offer, for $50 btw! Charming.

Alternatively, a Core Sub (includes everything except the Model expansion presets) is available for $30 year. If you didn't know better you'd swear it’s almost like they’re trying to encourage subscriptions ;)

Post

Core includes the regular Zenology and not the Pro version. But it’s not bad for just $30 a year.

I’m not a sub guy though, unless it’s just for Play4Life.

as has already been mentioned that doesn't include everything, the bigger issue however is that at $599 Zenology Pro Collection is a REALLY crappy value. If you want the 1990s Rompler sounds that are based off the XV5080 which are included you can spend hundreds less and get the Korg Collection and get Triton Extreme, M1, Wavestation, and the Korg analog synths

if you shop sales you can get the Korg Collection and the Arturia V Collection and get tons of Rompler sounds and tons of quality VA synths and digital synths including the Jupiter 8 and the Juno

Or you could get Omnisphere which has a deep sample library and deep wavetable synthesis including many VA waves from classic synths

420 pages, with mostly disappointed customers. That should be analysed and presented to whoever at Roland decided the way how things turned out by today.
ACB synths are awesome and Roland Cloud could have been the greatest thing for everyone, yet I'm sad to see whatever is in this topic.
@Roland - It's never too late to change, asking your insanely huge user base with detailed questionnaires can be a great starting point.

Absolutely agree and well said 👍

Zenology Pro doesn't have everything, but I like the interface for editing/creating presets more than using XV-5080 or the D-50 which I already have through Play4Life.

Just had to contact support about the vst3 version of the Cloud synth plugins crashing Studio One 6 if they are not inside Galaxias. There is no vst2 option for some of their plugins. Frustrating.
