Just a note to all. Soundcloud is removing comments and likes from tracks. So, if you have made comments and dropped a like you may wish to check if the Soundcloud BOT has not removed it.

The same on my page, I read the comments yesterday I went now to reply and all comments and likes have disappeared.
A serious issue for us OSCers.

I agree ... I wanted to reply, but didn't get the chance. Also my comment count says 4, whereas there are only 3 comments - the 4th one being the disappeared one!

I just wonder if the person commenting has done a lot of comments and likes, and SC has decided he's a BOT? And then deleted his activity?

I noticed that AuderMarr left nice comments on many tracks (including mine). God knows what the criteria of the SC bot are. It's a pity though...

Hello, guys.

Yes, unfortunately I noticed my SoundCloud account got totally deleted and I'm in the dumps for this. I just can't believe it, I'm still processing that.

I swear I'm not a bot and I really wanted to give you all nice articulated (within the limits of my loooow intelligence) comments on your (fantastic) tracks, in order to do justice to the full spirit of the Challenge. That's what really upsets me about my cancellation, rather than the fact of losing my account (there was basically nothing beside the two tracks I released so far, fortunately).

Back to the cancellation: I have a theory they probably saw mine was quite an old account with nearly zero activity until these days, when I commented so much, so they decided that somehow I'm a bot. Still, it sucks big time and I think I'll write down a strong-worded letter to SoundCloud if they treat users who just leave harmless comments and likes to others like this.

In the meanwhile, I'll distract myself by working on the next One Synth Challenge track...

It also looks like comments come and go. Some disappear completely, others suddenly reappear and it looks like they were made a few hours ago. It's not only totally confusing it's also completely ridiculous. What the hell does it say in a comment that it needs urgent moderation in the context of music reviews? It gives me a headache...

I have asked if the OSC mods could host your track elsewhere and update to a new link on the voting page. Would be a shame if people didn't get to vote on your track as you have voted on all ours, through no fault of your own.

If it can be done, you might get a PM from Brian or Richard - watch that space!

I can easily host your track AuderMarr in my SoundCloud space, just send me the file or a link and I will send back the SC URL to use .

Good on you! I have PM'd Richard Semper (one of the mods) to check he's aware of the issues and the offer of hosting help from Liqih if the issue can't be resolved by the 16th!
