Around October I had 5080 and 1080 cpu spike issues. Support told me that an update soon will fix.
After so many years I finally quit my sub around Jan when it seemed that no fix is coming. I see that as of know there is still not a single update for those plugins. I do not understand the obsession with this Galaxias either while almost all users asking for other things.

I think GALAXIAS has been a giant failure and was a bridge to far for many usersozinga wrote: Wed Jun 05, 2024 7:51 pm Around October I had 5080 and 1080 cpu spike issues. Support told me that an update soon will fix.

I think that's why they are holding the many round tables as it's a disaster nobody asked for and they don't know what to do about it

they never know what to do, so they will abandon it just like everything else they release.IvyBirds wrote: Wed Jun 05, 2024 10:52 pm I think GALAXIAS has been a giant failure and was a bridge to far for many users

standard operating procedure for them.

I think at some point someone from Roland will look at the cloud offering and realise that it is now so bad it is actually diminishing the Roland brand. Roland make great hardware, they need to either make good software or drop it.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

They won't go under, they will just stop spending money on product development even more than they already haveN 4 LIFE wrote: Thu Jun 06, 2024 1:01 am At this point, I really don't want them to go under as I have a lot of time invested in creating sounds..
They can continue to phone it in for quite some time and just sit back and collect money from subs and play 4 life
Eventually I do think they will pull the plug entirely but have a software patch for lifetime keys or just lease cheap server space from Amazon like they already do just for the phone home aspects for lifetime keys

Roland Cloud plugins crash REAPER 7.16 on my PC.
ZENOLOGY PRO 2.0.2 no longer works for me, it crashes REAPER everytime.
JUPITER-8 VST3 is highly unstable while the VST2 version seems a tad better but both are unstable in REAPER.
Same for D-50 etc... Roland Cloud used to work in REAPER, what is going on? I'm running Roland Cloud 3.1.5.

This...there are always a few new people coming in to making music with computers an there is some pretty cool stuff if you don't already own it...it costs them almost nothing to just leave it up and not spend on development.IvyBirds wrote: Thu Jun 06, 2024 3:27 am

Plugins are now taking up to five minutes (five MINUTES!) to load, and sometimes the RC App won't ever load. ...and plugins will randomly crash while I'm using them, particularly when changing patches.
This is a new problem; haven't seen this before the past week or so. I uninstalled and then re-downloaded/installed the RCA but that seems to have made things *worse*.
...is anyone aware of some kind of systemic problem? It *feels* like it's trying to "phone home" and just hanging. ...That's my assumption, anyway.
Really starting to feel like it's time to simply stop trying, things just seem to be getting worse and worse.

This is essentially my issue right now, Roland Cloud plugins take forever to load in REAPER and then if they load at all, they are highly unstable and make REAPER crash. This is a serious issue.Introspective wrote: Thu Jun 06, 2024 12:06 pm Plugins are now taking up to five minutes (five MINUTES!) to load, and sometimes the RC App won't ever load. ...and plugins will randomly crash while I'm using them, particularly when changing patches.

Sounds familiar (though I use BitWig, not Reaper: you are brave!) ...Jermusic wrote: Thu Jun 06, 2024 2:40 pm This is essentially my issue right now, Roland Cloud plugins take forever to load in REAPER and then if they load at all, they are highly unstable and make REAPER crash. I actually contacted support (at the same time as posting my last message) and they JUST got back to me. After a quick follow-up question, they replied immediately and suggested I roll back (UNINSTALLING the RCM first, of course) to an older version of the RCM: 3.1.3 and that actually worked like a charm, everything is loading again, and quickly.
Phew!
...Still feeling pretty wary, but I am heartened that they responded so quickly and that their first suggestion actually worked...

I think it is time for them to make a new cloud app and get away from this bloated crap we are offered now and offer 1 time activation for lifetime keys.Introspective wrote: Thu Jun 06, 2024 3:31 pmSounds familiar (though I use BitWig, not Reaper: you are brave!) ...Jermusic wrote: Thu Jun 06, 2024 2:40 pm This is essentially my issue right now, Roland Cloud plugins take forever to load in REAPER and then if they load at all, they are highly unstable and make REAPER crash. A program or download manager should only be tied to the company and programs it is made for and not work as a network server for x amounts of weird connections behind the scenes like the rc app do.

Regarding the 5080 and 1080 plugins (and all SRX plugins) and the CPU spiking issues - They are known to impact higher end Apple M1 chips at this point. Roland support uses iMac’s, which aren’t impacted, and thus they won’t confirm the issue - even though everyone knows it’s an issue at this point.ozinga wrote: Wed Jun 05, 2024 7:51 pmAround October I had 5080 and 1080 cpu spike issues. Last I’d heard RC support had asked Roland to supply them with a Mac Studio they could use to verify the issue, but I don’t know if this request was ever granted. If it wasn't that would be an incredibly worrying thing..

I opened the XV-5080 VST, and what's the first thing I do (still) see?
