Favorite distinctive EQs?

I recently started using the UAD Pultec EQs on my mixes. They're incredible!
Any other favorite EQs with character and/or unique ways of manipulating curves, especially for using at the mixing/mastering stage?
There's a UAD sale going on right now: any thoughts on the Manley Massive Passive? The API Vision channel strip?

it just doesnt fit my workflow anymore. Since I bought the fabfilter suite I tend to use that to EQ and Saturate seperately as needed. And I love how they each have both oversampling and Linear phase in case you need it.
But I did use H-EQ for a number of years..

I just find myself using TDR Slick EQ GE most of the time for a broad stroke simple EQ. Like the curves, sound and workflow.

Here are my most used "color" EQs, in no particular order.
PA Knif Soma
PA Harris Doyle Natalus
Tone Projects Michelangelo
Pulsar Audio Massive
Pulsar Modular P455 (and it's standalone p450 EQ)
Those 5 cover all "mojo" EQ tasks when I'm mixing outside of my Softube Console 1 setup (where I do all premixing). In the premix stage I use Softube Chandler Curve Bender the most.

Haven't yet started the Manley MP demo yet as I own Pulsar Audio's excellent model of the same EQ but I'm absolutely 100% sure going to purchase the API Vision plugin mainly due to how amazingly it clips things in it's preamp stage. It's absolutely amazing for a lot of single target audio sources.jeremycsf wrote: Fri Jun 07, 2024 6:02 pm There's a UAD sale going on right now: any thoughts on the Manley Massive Passive? I'm also currently demoing the Capitol Mastering compressor and that too seems really unique in it's flavor. Unfortunately it's quite tricky to use in subtle doses and very easily goes into not-so-nice distortion territory. But when it works, it works wonders! Probably going to purchase that one as well.. but still a bit unsure.
