I'll have to wrap my head around it to dive deeper into it, but the presets are already very inspiring.

Free as usual without any registration stuff or the like.
I like that it's not another emulation of a synth that's already beaten to death but something we don't already have.

The Six-Traq is a software instrument for Microsoft Windows (VST2/VST3/CLAP/AAX) and Apple macOS (VST2/VST3/CLAP/AU/AAX) simulating the classic Sequential Circuits Six-Trak synthesizer from 1984. It is written in native C++ code for high performance and low CPU consumption. Main features are:

Oscillator with three waveforms, additional white noise generator
Classic self-resonating four-pole lowpass filter

(most )Full bucket synths sounds nice but I on't consider these emulations .
They have the same featureset and signal flow and somewhere in the ballpark of the original sound , but that's where it's stops
The developers even said he didn't have the hardware to compare it too .
Most of them sound pretty good and perhaps that's all that matters ...

The SixTrak was my first synth. It was pretty craptacular. It was amazing for a first synth for a teenager in the 80s though. Even unison mode managed to sound pretty thin on it. I eventually ended up with a DrumTraks and a Yamaha DX100 to round out my first “studio”. I had purchased a Boss chorus pedal to warm up the DX, it worked better on the SixTrak. Those demos sound way better than I remember the synth sounding. The coolest thing about the original synth was how easy it was to lay down multi-timbral parts on the sequencer. It was sold pretty quickly as nicer synths started showing up used, cheaply. I owned one a second time thinking it would be great to have my first synth again… it wasn’t. A mistake I sometimes contemplate making again (for the same reason). I also had the MultiTrak at some point, which I recall sounding basically the same.

It honestly amazes me that someone would recreate this synth.

It's an absolute pleasure to play with this synth and create sounds. That's quite easy with the layers and the great internal programs.
I never had the original, but I absolutely welcome any new vsti modeled on something we don't have dozens of emulations already.
