The latest update for Pulse is entirely broken on Windows. It would be nice if Wave Alchemy a) responded to support emails, and b) at the very least, uploaded prior versions so people could downgrade (this was the first version I bought so I don't have an old installer to go back to). And that's before, c) actually fixing the issue.SLiC wrote: Fri Jun 07, 2024 11:56 am I am all for that, but then I don't currently have any issues that I need support with. They don't have ticket system, just a contact form that says 'we will get back to you when we can' so they are not exactly promising support, I think people have just come to expect it. Some developers do it better than others, WA I think are still very small and were 'mainly' samples packs before...the level of interest generated by Triaz as a VST may be a bit overwhelming for them...
I only submitted a request yesterday so I'll give them more time, but to me, the support experience matters too. Any company shouldn't be puking out releases into the world without supporting their work. Some do however. I'm sure the issue will eventually get fixed, but when a point update stops working at all on a major OS, I expect that fix to take days not weeks or months. It also points to zero beta testing, or last minute changes that weren't beta tested and had major bugs. I'll give them a few more days, but I'm interested in seeing how quickly Wave Alchemy respond/deal with it.
I've long suspected some companies have been outsourcing development and work happens in fits and starts, based on availability and other commitments from the vendor/actual developer. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like there are more plugin companies than actual plugin coders these days.
