I'm enjoying this plugin a lot. I am able to copy to clipboard and paste a wave file, but not to drag and drop into Bitwig in any way. Did I miss a feature, or could this be considered for a future release if not?

Thanks for your reply. I disagree that the linear WYSIWYG format is optimal for kick creation, but I fully accept that it’s your product/vision and I won’t nag you about a log scale anymore. Scrolling was quite uncomfortable on a MacBook trackpad but maybe it will be better with a proper mouse on my PC, where I should be making my kicks anywayJan_Audija wrote: Sat Jun 08, 2024 12:32 pmHey PieBerger!PieBerger wrote: Sat Jun 08, 2024 11:22 am Hey Jan! Would you consider adding an option for log scaling of the graph/UI, the same as Kick 2? I’ve tried Kick Drum a couple of times and the linear scaling is very uncomfortable to work with, for me, which is a shame because the feature set and sound are otherwise excellent!
Also, are you aware that the plug-in window steals focus in Bitwig ie you have to click back in the DAW for it to respond to keyboard shortcuts, including spacer bar for start/stop transport. If you are aware, is it something you think you can overcome? It also makes Kick Drum frustrating to work with for me.
Sometimes tone doesn’t come across well through text, so be assured that these are well meaning constructive “criticisms”![]()
No, I don't think log scaling is going to get in there, because you can easily zoom in on parts you need to work on and people love it for that it is wysiwyg.
What version are you using? The key stealing bug was resolved in version 1.3: https://audija.com/changelog/1
your tone came across well, thank you for being so considerate![]()
I was using an older version of the demo, so I will check out the latest version to see if the space bar issue has been fixed, not that I have reason to doubt you of course!

It's the need to zoom in that I have a problem with. In Kick 2 you can get 95% of the way to a good kick without zooming in at all, because the log scaling provides more resolution for editing the front end , where all of the character/detail is for a kick. If you want to make very fine adjustments, you can of course zoom in, albeit with a less elegant solution compared to KD. On a trackpad, it is is especially tedious to have to zoom in and out of every node in KD to edit it, hence why I enquired about the possibility of a log scaling, for users who prefer the benefits it affords.anoise wrote: Sat Jun 08, 2024 1:27 pmIt was the same for me until I zoomed in on the transient and made the adjustments that way. Than it worked for me and I got good results, similar to Kick 2.PieBerger wrote: Sat Jun 08, 2024 11:22 am I’ve tried Kick Drum a couple of times and the linear scaling is very uncomfortable to work with
Jan has clearly stated that it's not in the pipeline though, so either I need to adapt/overcome to use KD or stick with Kick 2 and or explore using the Grid

It's designed for mouse, probably it's not optimal on trackpad. Please let me know what you think after using your mouse - it should be fast and easy to zoom in and out. Also I'd like to note, that the further you grab the horizontal and vertical adjusters away from the selected point/points the finer the adjustment gets, so you can make very minute adjustments without zoom, if that is helping?PieBerger wrote: Sun Jun 09, 2024 8:39 pm Thanks for your reply. Much better workflow with a mouse, huzzah! And the outer limits of the horizontal and vertical sliders do indeed offer a significantly finer degree of control. Alright, I'm sold! Are the saturator and clipper going to be pre-computed? I think for oneshots that can often sound better than realtime waveshapers for obvious reasons, but i understand how the majority of people would not see the benefit in that e.g lack of flexibility etc. That's one reason i still have a copy of Xfer Nerve and still do drum edits in audio editors rather than DAW'sJan_Audija wrote: Fri Jun 07, 2024 10:25 pm Hi Everyone!
I'd like to point out, that the beta of KickDrum 2 is going to be released this month soon for all customers (it's a free upgrade) and until release there is a 50% sale!
KickDrum 2 will have a modular system, where you can plug everything together with everything just like the nested device chain system known from Bitwig.
The first devices will be the Sine Oscillator with Harmonics, the Envelope, the Linear Phase EQ and the Sampler.
Later other Devices and Upgrades will follow, such as Clipper or Saturation Devices for example![]()
