Ah, very interesting. That may be what is going on.BluGenes wrote: Mon Jun 10, 2024 11:12 am In my experience, it has always been the sustain CC that causes this.. (CC 60 I think)..
If this is the case, does that indicate that sustain CC (and maybe others) should be "closed out" on transport stop ala the way notes are?

Hi. Re: CC data -
I'm noticing that there is no obvious way to mute data for a given CC that is part of a track.
Above pic shows a track from an imported MIDI file.
Is it not possible to Mute CC data at this time?

so, need to see if anyone can reproduce this crash please. Double click a phrase into the phrase editor. select a note while holding a modifier key, (CTRL or ALT), or select a note the hold a modifier key and click the note. I get what seems to be random crashes.

No, this is not possible. It should be possible, so I'll add this for the next update.
Thanks,
Attila

I'll test this with the Address Sanitizer in a few minutes.BluGenes wrote: Mon Jun 10, 2024 12:28 pm so, need to see if anyone can reproduce this crash please. Thanks for the feedback and bug reports!
Improvements:
- "Enable mouse-wheel over tracks" setting added (full window scrolling/track notes scrolling). Note: Alt-mouse wheel always scrolls the track notes, Ctrl-mouse wheel always zooms the track notes, Shift-mouse wheel always scrolls the window horizontally
- Guitar track type added (at the moment it makes no difference, this is work in progress)
- Chords selection is saved/restored for undo/redo
- Fixed a crash during rendering the keyboard layer
- Shortcut added for "Export chords as MIDI"

Hello Attila. The program freezes during playback when selecting chords in the chord selector and this does not depend on the inclusion of the guitar neck. Beta 4 too. error report no .

Hi. I'm noticing that compositions and templates that I saved with the last version now error on load.
Is that because a new track type was added?
It's not a big deal for me - mostly some test files that I can either recreate or live without.
Older stuff seems OK. Is there a known cutoff date or version?

So, I defined a keyboard shortcut for 'Export chords as MIDI...', like so:
but then when I attempted to use it, got a result like this (instead of a file export dialog):
In contrast, Ctrl-E works fine.

It took me a moment to realize exactly what you did here (which is exactly what you said you did!). And it's cool, definitely a good thing.Chords selection is saved/restored for undo/redo
I have to point out though that this does not solve the problem as written about above (middle of p. 45)
IOW, if you have selected MT chords and are successfully Dicing or 'G'-ing them, and then you click/go/do basically anything else it is necessary to manually re-select the MT chords again before you can resume Dicing or 'G'-ing them.
The goal is not to have to keep remaking the same chord selection.
Either RC needs to be smart enough to retain and not lose the selection in the first place (keeping the Dice and 'G' hot), or else the selection needs to be buffered/remembered somewhere and be easily restorable with a simple, fast, one-step operation.
IOW, a command 'Restore chord selection', which could a) be invoked by keyboard shortcut, and hopefully also by a mouse action such as a click or double-click on the MT header. Firing this command should also ensure that the Dice and 'G' are hot and ready to use.
Another way to put this is that the - context - of being able to regenerate chords is ruined by any other intermediate operation. It is much to be desired that this not be the case. Thanks!

What is shown in the picture just above is this happening:
This makes sense in itself in the Track context, but the problem lies (to put it another way) in the inability to leave the Track context (once finished there) and at-once return to the previous Master Track (chord regeneration) context and resume chord generation operations.
