I'm kind of new so I wasn't sure where I'd put this at. But what programs/software could help me achieve an electronic (digitalized, ambient? i'm not sure what it's called) sound to create music with? I don't know any of the lingo or anything, but this website seemed to know what it was talking about when it came to music software. Any help is greatly appreciated.
It'd also help if the program wasn't too difficult to work, because like I said before I'm new to this.

To make computer-based electronic music you basically need 1)A host application, 2)1 or more software instruments (the more the merrier for many folks), and usually 3) some extra effect plugins.
Most host applications are not geared to a specific type of music, and you can do electronic music in virtually all host applications.
Many or most software instruments can make a variety of sounds suitable for electronic music. Same with effects.
You can start by checking out info in the forums and by reading various reviews of host applications and software instruments and effects. There are plenty of decent free instruments and effects to get you started, and you can get a host application for pretty cheap, and maybe later can spend more money on software if you get hooked.
