The filter FM sounds really nice, and each layer can be polyphonic. You can have a six-oscillator or six-layer super polysynth!!

I get some CPU and note glitching on some patches like Super Polyglide (Apple silicon, AU version).
What happens is that notes sometimes get choked off and glitch, and the CPU glitches to max for a brief time (normally, SixTraq is only using 10% or so of a core).

The best Full Bucket Synth yet. Love the arp, love the sequencer. Already have a spot in my workflow. Many thanks to Björn the developer. Time to play.

I tested it out and then turned it way down because it didn't fit the character of what I was writing may not be able to hear it at all. I loved the sound I was getting from it though and look forward to seeing more stuff from him.

Welp, there goes the rest of my evening...
The SixTrak was a rude little bastard, but this synth sounds almost civilized.

I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better?

Yeah, this synth is very CPU-hungry compared to the other FullBuckrt synths. (Mac-Intel).rasmusklump wrote: Wed Jun 12, 2024 12:03 pmThat should be fixed soon.beely wrote: Sun Jun 09, 2024 5:07 pm I get some CPU and note glitching on some patches like Super Polyglide (Apple silicon, AU version).

Yes, that's what I normally see too. But try playing the above mentioned preset, holding down notes while playing, and seeing whether you hear any note glitches or cut-off notes. It's then when the CPU glitches.gentleclockdivider wrote: Thu Jun 13, 2024 12:27 pm I am barely hittin 8% on a 2016 i7 win laptop playing long pads , must be a mac-intel thing
If you can't reproduce this, then it's likely a Mac thing. (Not a Mac-Intel thing, as it happens on Apple silicon too).

The instrument in general is easy on the cpu as the other FB synths.
The spikes are a bug that is already fixed. I had that on windows as well.
I am sure he will upload the fixed version soon.
I have a beta version without the glitches, but we have found another small thing, so maybe he uploads the new version when that is fixed as well.

Yes, just holding a chord won't show the issue, there are no notes being cutoff - you need to play around, hold notes, play other notes etc.
Ah great, thanks for confirming it's a general issue and will be fixed.rasmusklump wrote: Thu Jun 13, 2024 1:52 pm The spikes are a bug that is already fixed. I had that on windows as well.

Pretty great interpretation of the original unit, yet surely needs some saturation to reminiscence those good old memories.
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.
