Except that they didn't. It was quite clear what they were referring to the whole time. Upgrades and crossgrades are not the same. Non-owners of FX Collection were not being offered an upgrade, they were being offered a crossgrade and owners of older version of FX Collection were offered both.

Jens was explicitly talking in the context of someone who owned an earlier version of FX CollectionPieBerger wrote: Fri Jun 14, 2024 8:12 am Except that they didn't. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, there is no upgrade e.g. for me (coming from V3 plus everything that makes up V4 except the Dynacord emu plus the ex-freebie that's part of V5),
Again: there is NO upgrade for you guys or me

I blame Arturia for having such confusing upgrade/crossgrade policy!

Yes, any earlier version than V4 to be exact, something you keep ignoring in order to avoid having to admit than you were wrong - having failed to read through the thread properly before replying to me with that silly entire pointless screenshot - from page one on there were numerous posts throughout the thread where people mentioned having a 49bucks upgrade, so yours is far from being exceptional. There's zero need to mention the overly obvious, and even with a screenshot to boot.whyterabbyt wrote: Fri Jun 14, 2024 8:19 am Jens was explicitly talking in the context of someone who owned an earlier version of FX Collection
So interpreting my "not for you guys or me" as "not for anyone" is completely absurd and it's absolutely not my fault that you failed to pay anything resembling proper attention before basically having a crap in the thread with everyone watching.
And now claiming I moved my goal-post (i.e. insinuating that I meant anything/anyone else than "you guys and me" (specifically adressing those persons I adressed)) when I wrote "you guys and me" is even more absurd, silly and frankly pathetic.

Seems like this is the least important thing in this thread.bilrobins wrote: Fri Jun 14, 2024 10:52 am Anyone else tested/opinions on the 2 new plugins - exciter and clipper/limiter?

I can ask the person who bought my V4 license off me and report backwintoid wrote: Fri Jun 14, 2024 10:55 am So if you do the crossgrade from v4 to v5, and sell the v4 license, can the new owner ALSO crossgrade to v5?

The exciter was a bit too colourful on the master bus of my current track and most likely my other tracks but I make psytrance and I don't think this kind of plugin is suitable for the program material. Might still be useful on sub groups though. Haven't tried the clipper/limiter just yet, but I'm already happy with KClip/Zero as my clipper and TrackLimiter for channels/busses and Pro-L 2 or Boost on the master, so I'm not super interested in the Arturia offering.bilrobins wrote: Fri Jun 14, 2024 10:52 am Anyone else tested/opinions on the 2 new plugins - exciter and clipper/limiter?

Maybe they've tighten things up but I was able to sell my V4 license after upgrading to V5. My buyer confirmed that he was able to upgrade from V4 to V5 for 69e. The price implies it was an actual upgrade vs a crossgrade.Igro wrote: Fri Jun 14, 2024 11:38 am On Arturia website it is stated, that you cannot sell the older version after the upgrade/crossgrade. Check the faq.
EDIT: it's clear in the FAQ that the products are linked, but I was able to sell my license. I had only owned it for a few weeks so it had to be processed manually and maybe whoever did it, wasn't supposed to. In any case, two things can be true simultaneously!
When crossgrading, it's important to notice that the initial license becomes linked to the new license delivered on this occasion.
This means that you won't be able to unregister/transfer one of the products without affecting the other one as well.
Always Read the Manual!
