Thats a nice guitar, tho i have yet to encounter an acoustic guitar without
a traditional sound hole that sounded
good, imo. Those neat looking ovations
and whatnot, dont sound good to me.
Never tried the ibanez tho so...
Not that they sound bad, i just dont like
the muffled sound they make. Ive never
asked any musician types, but most folks
cant even hear it ime. To me its quite
pronounced, even in a $8k ovation.
I do like the taylor t5 series, but for
the elect part.

I am looking at daws. samplers and bundles but may wait to pull the trigger... I could get another magazine subscription if it comes with alot of samples or other tools. Bitwig has good and bad points and I am trying out the 8 track version from computer magazine to see if it gives me less trouble than cakewalk with samplers and the automation looks interesting. Downside is that it looks time consuming to organize my vst's and it is easier to use if I had a larger screen and better eyes
I think at the top of my list is a sound card. I have been thinking about getting a native instruments one but I could be talked into another one..
This year I paid $10 for some instrument, a disk drive and computer music magazine. I am on a budget but if I end up with money from it for some reason or the uranium market goes up I could up my budget a little bit.

The used Cobalt 8X I bought turned out to be the standard 37 key version, which explains why it was going for £300, but think I’ll keep it anyway as it turns out to be “can be used on the couch” sized.

theres a new module announcement video on wednesday, would they call a standalone "a module"?

Tomorrow, they’ll announce it!vurt wrote: Sun Jun 16, 2024 6:44 pm theres a new module announcement video on wednesday, would they call a standalone "a module"?
Yeah, not sure. I would think you’re right that it’s not a standalone if they’re saying module. Any chance they’re bringing Strega’s delay into a module? I heard the same clock noise from Strega.
I just hope it’s not a large module because I made so many changes lately. I’m still trying to see what I need vs what I want with the new setup. DXG, Rene v2, Ch.svr, Erbe Verbe & Tymp Legio for 74hp!
Still waiting on Tymp Lego and Pam’s Pro workout to arrive, but they should come on Monday & Tuesday.

awesome!
i may have misread it, or rather just assumed when i got the notification.
it does seem a bit more than a delay though, theres a lot of reverb type sound too, but theyve just retired erbe, and said theres no plans for a replacement reverb at present?
so maybe it is a standalone?
spacewise, im definitely looking at a fourth mantis (or equivalent sized case) but as im moving in the next few months, would prefer to wait.
hopefully ill see you live tomorrow!
its definitely hinting at strega in the video though...

I would tend to think not. But that could just be my dyslexic interpretation/perception of a module comprising a component(s) of a 'module-lar' system. Sounds cool, whatever it is.vurt wrote: Sun Jun 16, 2024 6:44 pm theres a new module announcement video on wednesday, would they call a standalone "a module"?
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

I probably should get one of those too. I never bought a shure sm58/57 or similar dynamic mic, but have the sm7b.mixyguy2 wrote: Sun Jun 16, 2024 7:52 pm When the holidays come around, I hope to get a Sennheiser 935 on a good sale.
Seems essential and I probably would have used one many times already.
