great spectral treatment effect, a great addition! no brainer for a spectral addict like me!

Not sure how wise it is to cripple the demo. Would have liked to play with the spectral stuff, not going to buy it to try it.

The spectral stuff is the meat of the plugin I think. The timestretching is interesting and gets some good results on its own but the modulation part is full of surprises and interesting sounds.

What modes does the stretching part use? The spectral thresholding is always fun. Does it do tone/ noise balance?

This company is fantastic and I’ve been waiting for this release. It will replace the PaulXStretch plug-in and will be really good at creating constantly-evolving soundscapes and special effects. Very reasonable price, too!

well worth buying - have only played the standalone so far -

hmm, the demo has the spectral stuff disabled. lame ( yet, guess i understand why)

the timestretch part seems tailored towards "paulstretch usecases".
Not exactly made for me. I´m home elsewhere.
I´d wish me on such thing a plus-minus speed dial, reversing the play direction at noon.
( as a own mode ideally)
yet, i just had a great jam loading it in GP (gigperformer)
20min demo was short !

also: the next plugin that seems made from or for folks who have a retina display just 30cm in front of their nose. I´m on a 40" / UHD (non 4K) in 100cm distance. So, there are several GUI elements just NOT readable for me. Well,......i´d liked to check the spectral part, but shall not be i guess.
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

it will be interesting to compare with IrcamLab TS2
can it host plugins?

What does it do that PaulXStretch can’t?

I meant that Sloom will be replacing PaulXStretch for me personally on my new machine. But I forgot to write that last part. I still love PaulXStretch and will continue to use it on my Intel iMac, but I won't be installing it on my new MacBook Pro. I've been looking for an up-to-date, extreme time-stretcher in AU format and Native Apple Silicon and Sloom seems to fit the bill.

**Edit - I wanted to compare the two feature-wise, so I revisited the Sonosaurus website. I'm really glad that I did, too. I didn't realize that PaulXStretch had been updated to version 1.6, or I forgot and never downloaded the update. :dog:

I thought development had stopped a few years ago, that's why I was looking for a different plug-in to run on my new Silicon Mac. This is cool and I dig the cleaner GUI as well!

In terms of features, I'm interested in Sloom's spectral modulation, the five different time-stretching algorithms, and the randomness panel. Other than that, I haven't had an opportunity to run Sloom through it's paces yet and I've only had a quick look at the manual. But I've been happy with Anemond's other software, so I bought Sloom based on that previous experience.

a prepared but eventually unprepared... video.... no talking just, working with one sample, better a part of a sample, and see what you can get, several 'transformations';

Do you use Logic?

Sample Alchemy has extreme time stretching in granular, additive and spectral mode.

additive and spectral are the same thing, they all break down to sine waves
