Even though I have MixBox SE and a few T-racks plugins, these are not installed because it doesn't hide what I don't own like SampleTank does. If they actually make the option available, then I will consider installing their effects again and may even buy more of their stuff.

I have not bought anything from them since I bought SampleTank a few years ago. The effects that I have from them I managed to get for free when they were available but I don't use any of them because of the problem. So I am glad I never had the misfortune of buying any of their effects only to discover that crap!
T-Racks absolutely has this problem, but MixBox SE does hide the ones you don't have. I have had terrible experiences with IK plugins, but I was really surprised how much easier MixBox SE was to install and run. There are some great effects in there (one of my favorite saturators!), so it's worth trying out imo.
I re-installed MixBox to verify if it does indeed hide modules that are not owned, incase I missed something before. I DID NOT! I installed the VST and Standalone version. I clicked every setting and option on both versions. I looked at each page of the manual. I found NOTHING to hide the modules I don't have! So I just uninstalled it again.

I don't know whether you are confusing the preset list with the module list or just have the full version and forgot you upgraded it. But there is no hide option at all! If I click the greyed out module in the list it pops up a message saying I don't have it and to buy the full version.

My apologies! I think I must have just assumed that because they were greyed out, you couldn't even click on them.

T-Racks actually installs every plugin, displays them all the same as if you own them all, and then gives you a popup message if you select one you don't own. So you either need to memorize every single one you own, or manually delete all the ones you don't own after every update. MixboxSE has at least one usable plugin in every category and makes it clear which ones you can use, so it's not an issue for me, but I can see how someone could find that irritating.

They've been giving away Mixbox SE (not CS) for free or with magazines fairly regularly to be fair, so the real price is $0-$5.

Anyway, the T-RackS system is terrible. I can live with the wasted bandwidth, but I was too lazy to hide that many plugins from my DAW. I ended up making a batch file to delete the plugins I don't care about - which is ... all but 3 of them. I just run it after T-RackS updates.

While I do like IK and appreciate the hardworking they put into getting the plugins to sound great, I too wish they'd do away with making you install plugins you don't own and formats you don't need.

Space is a precious resource on most setups and users don't really want to be disadvantaged by being forced into installing software they don't need or use.

I have almost all IKM Plugins and Instruments but there is no use for them because of installation mess. Installing T-Racks are stupid but try install SampleTank MAX2 with all libraries. No one one earth is able to do it without completely loosing his mind

I just installed the full versions of Mixbox and T-RackS 5 MAX v2 (currently at 53 plug-ins) for £27 and £44 respectively. So the T-Rack plugins work out at less than £1 apiece.Absolute no-brainer. Nothing greyed out. And installation was a dream.
My Bloody Valentine, Velvets, Doors, Byrds, Beatles, Killing Joke, Cure, Joy Division, Sigur Ros, Burzum, Dinosaur Jr, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, U2. REAPER.

The only plugin I still use from T-RackS is the Stealth Limiter. And nothing from MixBox.

(But I use MODO DRUM, TONEX, and ARC 4 on every song.)
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Just buy all of them ;)

T-Racks 5 Max is 49 bucks atm...

And a tip : Use Edge browser when buying, it'll show you applicable coupons. Saved me another 10 bucks...

On which site? I just tried this on IK Multimedia's site and it didn't find any coupons.

On the IK site yes. It'll pop up when you get in the payment screen (where you have the option to add coupons or Jampoints).

That's the 20% off coupon from survey. JRR is still cheaper.

I have a sneaking suspicion that T-Racks 6 will look similar in design to this:

I don't mean it will look like a rack (although there might be a rack fx plugin), but rather similar knobs, fonts and overall aesthetic. This is taken from the official Sampletron page.

JRR's coupons are less than 20% off though?

How do I get this survey coupon?

I don't live in EU or the US, but I still get prices in Euro. 39 Euro with Paypal conversion ends up being $44.

I'll sent you a DM.
