While still in the development stage, we invite you to try our latest tool: Local in browser Audio to MIDI conversion. This tool works best with single instrument stems. https://www.martinic.com/dev

Seems pretty cool, so far I've tried it with a full song and its interesting.
Upon song reset it seems to send midi program change 1, sending my vst instrument preset back to preset 1. I'll have to look into that.

I uploaded a loop of EP chords with heavy modulation and it added lots of pretty ghost notes. I then ran the midi file on an EP patch next to the original sample and the two together sounds far better and more interesting than the original by itself.

Maybe we can make Program Change optional. We will take a look too.RunBeerRun wrote: Sat Jun 22, 2024 9:10 pm Upon song reset it seems to send midi program change 1, sending my vst instrument preset back to preset 1. I'll have to look into that.

Pretty good this, amongst the best I've tried with guitar!
Couple of quick tests just using the default settings. First the 'easy' one; clean electric guitar strumming, although with a wafer thin Dunlop pick, so the transients are a bit muted. Original is first, then the midi played with the free Amplesound AGML acoustic vst;

A few little glitches here and there in terms of timing, but pretty impressive given the source.
Now the 'acid test' - strummed 12 string acoustic guitar in an alternate tuning (open Csus2) with a lot od drone strings, recorded through a mic, again with the flappy Dunlop plectrum (I love 'em!) Original then midi again;
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-4Kcj3 ... sp=sharing
Again a few glitches, but considering the material that's seriously good. Particularly impressive is that it's not seriously been thrown off by the octave and unison strings of the 12 string (seeing only 6 notes most of the time), nor the very percussive recording.
Good stuff.

Too many artifacts, long sustained notes etc. I think there should be a transient detection threshold to control that.

Increasing the Minimum Note Length will help with the artifacts but not with long sustain. We will look into transient detection threshold options.phreaque wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2024 1:38 pm Too many artifacts, long sustained notes etc. I think there should be a transient detection threshold to control that.

Found the issue I think, doesn't work with Safari Version 17.4.1, either with drag and drop or upload. Works with Chromemartinic wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2024 1:14 pmThanks! wav works for us. Safari is becoming the new Internet Explorer fast but we will check. Because all is running in the browser we hope we can fix this. Thanks for reporting.woodsdenis wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2024 4:11 pm Found the issue I think, doesn't work with Safari Version 17.4.1, either with drag and drop or upload. Works with Chrome

Tried several .wav files. They loaded, coversion began and froze at 10% each time.
The page then became unresponsive and crashed. Chrome browser. Maybe too much traffic right now? Will try again tomorrow.
