Lately I've been wanting to hear Johnny Marr cover "Anybody Wanna Take Me Home" by Ryan Adams.

frank sinatra is long dead
he hated the doors's "light my fire"
what year he hated it most, i'm not sure
i would have liked to had have him covered that song at that time

but who goes around covering songs that they hate?

maybe (or maybe not) this band, for one

and then maybe some prog bands cover punk songs, maybe a 24 minute version of "Anarchy In The U.K."?

I kind of like the idea of both subverting each others ideas however they do it.

I'd still like to hear The Cardigans cover "Hocus Pocus" by Focus with Nina Persson deadpanning the yodeled part and the organ is replaced with a bossa nova groove. Or maybe "Symptom of the Universe".

Also still waiting for Joan Baez to return the favor and cover "Breaking the Law".
