that is not for reference tuning (as of A3=440Hz) but as frequencies themself
i.e.: you make a sine in that frequency and listen to it (for hours)

every daw has a pitch shifter. also, if you tune up a song from your arbitrary 440hz* to 999hz its just gonna be faster. if you do it with time stretch its just gonna sound way off key. (very very flat)
* 440hz refers to the key of A4. That is the default tuning of instruments. Please dont tell me you just swallowed the koolaid.

Something I've noticed in DCI circles is that the E horns are still tuned to 440 while the pit mallets are factory tuned at 442...
Somehow, the general audience can't hear it. I do, but it has me wondering if there's reason behind this other than a manufacturing philosophy/psychology. I know there's a drive toward higher frequencies to create more excitement.

DCI as in dedective chief inspector ?
out local (and most famous) symphony orchestra is at 443 afaik/iirc
which means every child in every music school has to tune at 443
