Yeah after I saw that video I had a really weird feeling. He is waving with those hands like Steven Seagal. No really, I am unsure why it felt odd and the only explanation I could come up with I mean why it felt odd is that it seems to me like someone is driving a vehicle over its maximum speed. Something like that.

Even though I like the sound of his voice and the way he is narrating and leading his content - it all feels like something is moving behind the hills.

Anyway, or other I think I am dropping Reason for good.

As if the R13 browser wasn't enough of a regression to my workflow, The last nail in the coffin was when I just realized that they published a table on their website in which they publicly said that their subscription users are going to get support with more priority than perpetual users. Which idiot made that decision?

I spent more than 3000 EUR with them. Now I see I am an idiot. Ok. And now some guy who spent 10$ is getting more priority? And does that make sense?

Ok fine.

There's a good outcome in this. I finally gave a chance to MuLab and Reaper and all that I can say is WTF?

That's exactly what I did few months ago (Mulab-Reaper but for a slightly different reason).

I'll keep v12 for the Rack, but the feeling of "Subscription Only" is creeping in and I'm not sure I will be creating music relaying on the Rack much longer.

Time will tell...

Yeah that's weird. Those with perpetual licenses are most likely more loyal customers than the subscribers. And as you said, have invested a lot in it. Strange decision indeed!
What is Prioritized Support for anyway? The connections on my rack device is noisy?
I'm getting alone nicely with R13 I have to admit though. The sequencer update has been great for my workflow. And the browser doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. Not sure if it will enhance my workflow though.

I hope the capital investors read this thread, too.

Reason 13 gives me more motivation to phase out my use of RRP....
I feel the same about the subscription. I don't feel RRP is prioritised neither...

At one moment, in a relationship, even commercial, interest must be mutual.

Yes, because your 3000 is already in the pocket , now they want 3000 euro from that other "10 a month" guy .

obviously paid-for review here:

I think they should have much rather spent the money on the development...

The subscription stuff is a plague in the IT industry as a whole but it spread to other markets as a business model to pursue at any cost. Unfortunately managers get more and more money by doing this and not only big multinationals but small businesses started doing the same in the last decade and right now there is this kind of urgency to force the monthly subscription model for everything everywhere.
On the Unreal Engine marketplace but Unity Asset store too recently some plugins publishers quit the perpetual license and built up their own website with a monthly subscription model that costs yearly more than the single perpetual payment of the license it was before. As long as another publisher releases a plugin code with the same features more or less at a cheap price for a perpetual license I don't know how many game developers would be willing to pay monthly.
Anyway I would pay monthly subscription only for the few months I work on a project that I need to use that software to achieve what I want. With plugins code there is nothing that obliges to keep paying monthly when adding the code to a product so any developer could pay just for a single month grab the code and work with it or if there is some activation stuff locking the use then I would pay just the few months I need it in the final stages of development or anyway not beyond after having released the game unless the need to recompile to fix some bugs.
I mean how many small developers of anything could afford paying dozens of monthly subscriptions if perpetual licenses completely disappeared for everything forever ?

What I find hilarious is that they got rid of the floating toolwindow and docked it under the banner of : "tight integration and workflow " , yet they remove the browser and replace it with a big ass undockable floating window .

Where is this company heading, there is simply no communication with the community and thats the result. Is the new CEO still there? Any chance for implementing key features like video or markers after -ähm, wait, how many years new CEO is on board now??

Nobody knows where it is all going. It's a miracle, this company. :?

Maybe I switch to FL Studio.
