24" 1920 x 1200 PC - the only sane aspect ratio (shame they don't make those panels bigger than 24")

Nah thats VGA mode used a lot back in the day for games and demos.

34" UWQHD (3440x1440) @ 125%.
i really don't like it, but am too poor to justify ditching it so soon... i miss having two smaller monitors.

4k 32" @ 150% (=1440p), sometimes I switch to 200% scaling (=1080p) because I feel tired from small fonts and graphics. GUI is also snappier at 200% scale.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Bitwig 5, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

What is the difference between 4K 200% scaling and native 1080? I see there are a lot of people who are using scaling so I am trying to understand why would you buy an expensive 4K monitor instead of going for 1080?

For me, there are some advantages over the native 1080p. I use 4k resolution for most modern games out there, so this is the second advantage.
The downside though is that some old synths and instruments, like Reaktor and FM8, are not clear with Hidpi scaling, so they look blurry. So, if you use mainly old VSTi the 1080p is the best. Otherwise, most of the synths and instruments I use look great with any scaling

Four 24" monitors with 1920 x 1200 resolution which effectively gives me 4k.
