hello, some while ago I installed some instruments, and one of them f*%*%ed my vstplugins dir..
whenever I launch cubase SX it says 'scan plugins' and waits for about 2 mins before it loads.
whenever I try to install a new vst plugin, instead of the installers find my vstplugins dir like it used to be they say &VSTPLUGINS% and I need to manually browse for the vstplugins dir.
I installed FL Studio today and it doesn't find any vstplugins at all although I told it where is my vstplugins dir.
I suspect that some registery entry is scrwed..
any ideas how to fix this thing ?

The VSTPluginsPath should be a String value pointing to the directory, with no quotes or anything like that.

For FL Studio, Insert Track, <More>. This should bring up the plugins window. Do a "fast scan". This will show new plugins. Put a check in any/all plugins you want to appear in the Insert menu. Or you can choose "more" each time and select from teh plugins window.
