There's that TB-303 soundfont over at hammersound.net.
Most presets are 303 squeals but patch 8 and 9 are great for punchy sub bass, especially when run through a extreme limiter setting.

Try Natural Studio's electric bass (ns_jbass.sf2)

Try Natural Studio's electric bass (ns_jbass.sf2)
I could probably use Natural Studios' electric bass, but the restrictions on using it for a commercial project concern me. What if the unlikely happens and one of my pieces is used in a commercial or something?

If that happens, then I guess you just ask Natural Studios for permission and they ask you to pay them a little money..?

Thanks to Remco I could upload the font to his site and it's still there. You better get it before he's taking it down again.

I suppose, but I don't like the notion of having that "over me". I have no reason to think the Natural Studios people would take advantage, but, I suppose its the lawyer in me . . .

I guess you would be happy to make some money with your music and maybe use a little part of it to give to a sound designer whose work is featured in your work. :)
I did ask about this once to Natural Studios and they answered that it's usually just a formality and that they don't ask for money (that was a few months ago).

If I knew what the deal was, I probably would not have a problem. I just don't like to feeling of having it hanging out there, so I just as soon use another bass patch. No biggie.
