I know. But this is just so much simpler. What I like to do is not to duck the complete signal but to hi-pass whenever the kick hits.
It's super easy with this.

Ah yeah indeed, Bitwig does that but I had the feeling the reason tool focused on that too.
The fun fact is doing that you have very much a super transparent sidechaining, no ducking/pumping effect at all, so some time I add another "fake pumping signal" not related to the kick just for the pump (when I want it) (dunno if that makes sense lol).

Can anyone help me out here .
I made a beat in renoise , exactly 8 bars at 122 bpm >
Imported into reason (set to 122 bpm ) , slice edit but when exporting to rex it gives me 7 bars>
As you can see , the markers are nicely put at the transients (SCREENSHOT 1).
If I shorten the loop ( no stretch ) it's correct up until 6 bars
Here's the weird thing , when I go into pitch edit and back to slice mode, the markers are all over the place (becasue of the pitch detection slicing ) but this time when bouncing to rex I get the full 8 bars (screenshot 2 )

Here's the loop ,just import at 122 bpm and go into slice edit and export to rex

It's time to talk about the real problem behind Reason Studios - Mattias Häggström Gerdt. It appears as though he is the guy who gives the "marching orders", as in, he's the one who comes up with the new features (supposedly with community feedback): @ 2:45 in this video:
Mattias has been doing a horrible job, and it's time they made a change:

I'm pretty sure he's on a leash. The current CEO is the actual one who's giving the 'marching orders', put there by the investors. Mattias is the one who chooses which things can be done, but the CEO/investors are the ones who decide IF something will be done. When the financial managers rule the place, it is not a question of 'what the next version needs', it is basically 'what is the budget for the next version, and what can we do within that budget'.hurricaneaudiolab wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2024 6:42 pm It appears as though he is the guy who gives the "marching orders", as in, he's the one who comes up with the new features (supposedly with community feedback): @ 2:45 in this video:
Not a smart way to run a DAW company that way, but what do these corporate idiots know anyway

Wait is this for real? They made making of R13 ? Hahahahaha. I will not count instrument and effect as they are not DAW (Reason 13). So they created a "making of" video about what? A new browser because of which I am not upgrading, and existing tools in the sequencer were there, to begin with, but have now moved into a new area.

Sorry, but I really can't imagine the investors actually looking at features at all. That's totally not what investors do or what they would have a minute to spare on. The CEO? Yes, totally and dude is obviously a complete tool. The investors trust him and will at some point write that off as a failure. Dude will then move on to gamble another company's fate.crimsonwarlock wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2024 7:29 pm Mattias is the one who chooses which things can be done, but the CEO/investors are the ones who decide IF something will be done.

"you wanna see both the arrangement, the entire song but you also wanna see just a little part"
duh, yes, I wanna, JUST NOT BOTH AT ONCE you fool, because when I am working on my arrangement I have zero need to see "the little part" and when I am editing the latter I don't need to see the arrangement.
In both cases I want to use my full screen for whatever I am currently doing, YOU CLUELESS NOOB!
Of course this simple concept is going to fly way over your head while you're toying around with your silly eight bar ideas that most likely will go nowhere, like you were an actual musician...
man, you can't even do your own job, why talking about music-making like you had a clue?
