Which presets were used in these 2 songs synths that were were used in these 2 songs ? Or were the sounds custom programmed ?
I need these types of 80s synth brass sounds for solos and for "chords"
Main Computer Specs: MacBook M1 Max, 32GB, 4TB, Cubase 13.

I believe OP-X Pro has these in its massive collection of included soundbanks. It has many "famous sounds" presets and pretty sure these are among them.
A well-behaved signature.

If you just need that type of sound, and not an 'exact' replica, Google 'how to make jump synth patch'. Lots of easy examples there. (It's a very simple patch)

80s brassy synth sounds are pretty easy to make in any subtractive analog/VA synth. Which synths do you currently own?
Logic Pro | LUNA Pro | OB-X8 | Prophet 6 | OB-6 | Rev2 | TEO-5 | Pro 3 | SE-1X | Minitaur | Deepmind 12D | Slim Phatty | TR-1000 | Analog RYTM mk2 | Digitakt 2 | TD-3 MO | TD-3 | Maschine+

Why would you be embarrassed?
Out of all the synths you own, I believe serum remains the most accessible and easy to learn. Spire is awesome but less intuitive, reason 12 has good synths but interfaces and visual feedback are not great.

Polymax is a good starter but it is really really basic (and no visual feedback).

If you feel like spending time on learning, the best best synth to learn synthesis and in particular substractive is twin 3 from fabfilter (currently 25% off). It is very well and clearly organised and you have an immediate clear visual feedback of what you do. You see what you hear basically.

In terms of workflow, even if shaping the sound is not key for you and you are more into melodies, knowing a bit of synthesis to tweak presets or create basic ones are also a time saver versus endless browsing (even if l Omnisphere makes it easier).

I have ANA 2 and there's a patch called "JUMP!" that's part of the ANA 2 Factory presets. Sounds pretty close to the real thing.

Those are relatively simple patches, should be something pretty similar on most keyboards. Softsynths like Diva etc shouldn't have any issues. I know Eddie used an Oberheim for that.

Don't forget the very nice reverb, or at least it's very prominent on the Jump intro 1984 if not the main song (I can't recall). I remember cursing with my own keyboards from the mid 80s, why can't mine sound like that....it was in large part the fact that keyboards then didn't have fx, and I didn't have access to a nice Lexicon or whatever they used for that!

These are the sounds I'm looking for, I don't wanna buy another synth just for these presets tho. Is there a pack like this for the synths that I have ( Omnisphere, TyrellN6, Serum, Sonic Academy ANA2, Retrologue ( Cubase stock synth ) , Spire, Dexed, Arturia CS-80, Complete Korg Bundle, NI Massive, NI Super 8, UAD PolyMax, Reason 12 ) ? I'm sure there has to be

Somewhere here on KVR there is an incredibly boring and tedious conversation about how it's really quite special and all of the nuance one needs to make happen to get the sound. I've already wasted more time than I should have reading that thread and now, an additional couple of minutes to be that guy and poopoo on the sound, so I won't find it for you, but, you should be able to find it with a bit of searching.

Demoing Sonic Projets OP-X Pro-3 right now. The famous 80s bank patches are exactly what I was looking for. But one issue is that CPU consumption is a bit too high with lots of spikes.

One option would be to copy the settings from OP-X Pro presets on your other synth as a starting point then make further adjustments to match the sound. You’ll also learn a bit from this, too.

By the way, for Final Countdown, I think with the preset "Swedish Brass" in PolyMAX, if you open up the filter cutoff a bit, it gets you pretty close -- they're Swedish after all. :)
Peace, my friends. I'm not seeking arguments here. ;)
