I've gotten MPE polyphonic pitchbend, pressure, and Timbre/Slide/Y axis to work fine in Repro-5. The main MPE issues for me are: 1. it's limited to two MPE source:parameter mappings, which is... very limited. 2. no presets designed with MPE in mind that I'm aware of. 3. No option for default pressure or timbre mappings, so you have to do it manually for every preset.

Repro does sound good drenched in effects, and there are plenty of presets I like. But a major part of the appeal of the Prophets for me is nostalgia and their association with past artists. Mostly because listening to James Blake back in 2013 is what first got me interested in synths (though he was using a Prophet '08 back then, which is more like a Prophet 600, but with aftertouch). And many of his patches rely heavily on the sound of the raw oscillators, not being drenched in effects.

A little bit of Thom Yorke nostalgia too, though I don't care much for the Dawn Chorus patches (from the free "Thom Yorke Repro presets"), which don't use effects. But I do like the Twist patch (from those presets), which has the reverb and delay at around 40% wet.

When the RePro CLAP public beta comes out, it will have 4 slots in the Matrix instead of 2
It will have their improved MPE support

And of course in Bitwig... it will have unlimited per voice modulation with a wide variety of modulation options.

I think that Synapse Audio's the Legend (If you like bass), and Sylenth1 sound really good. U-he Diva and Zebra 2 sound spectacular as well. If I were to choose the best sounding synth out of all the ones I have, then it would be Sylenth1. That's my opinion.

I am not a particular Moog lover (or hater) but did you try the legend HZ version with 4-6 oscillators playing together ? Something magic happens...

For me, Vital.

The REV2 has more in common with the Oberheim Matrix 6, both sonically and feature wise, than the 5, 600 or even 6. I wish someone would do a PolyEvolver emulation which would cover the REV2 type sounds and a lot more, but getting the feedback right would be tricky.

Which one do you like better?

i know there are many Synth vs. Synth and whos better type of threads. However if you ONLY hear for the pur capability/sound of a Synths Oscillator/Sound Quality without looking at features what would the top ten look like?
That's a question inspired by Eris herself. I hope you ducked after chucking the golden apple in.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

I like both of them, although Ana is on sale right now. I’d try both of them before getting either one. Or both if you are able to.

Have any of you checked out the awesome new synths that Tone 2 came out with? There's five more that are new.

Yes, Axxess is superb for that vintage analog synth sound.
