MIDI input to RC

Hi there
I've recently been looking at a smattering of the videos on RC5, and am really interested in making a purchase ... but I DO have a question to which I'm yet to find the answer.

Let's say that I want to set up a project with 4 tracks, and also set up a chord progression that applies to all of those tracks.

Does RC5 accept external MIDI inputs for each of those tracks? And if so, do the chord changes conform that MIDI input to the chords?

Not sure if I'm being crystal clear here, but wanted to start the conversation ...
