This plugin is great, i like the automatic BPM adjusting and of course the sounds and tuning possibilities. But i couldn't figure out, how to play single instruments, like shakers. I mean single events. So, when i press an assigned key on the kyeboard, i would only hear one egg, shaker oder tambourine, whenever i want to insert it. Is it possible?

Sorry for posting twice, but my other post has been automatically translated to german. So maybe i can reach more people by leaving it in english.

That was your browser doing the translating.
I have Skaka, it plays like every other VSTi.

The only way I could see to do it would be to edit the sequence for each instrument so there is only one hit at the beginning of the bar. If you click on the black strip in the middle of the instrument square you'll see the sequence editor, if your right click on any existing beat it will erase that beat (or put one in if it's missing). If you just have the first beat playing, it should do what you want...if I understand what you want...

You may also have to set the sync mode to No Sync, at the bottom left of the edit window.

Thanks, tonycore. Sounds a bit complicated, though. Maybe, @Klevgrand, that would be an idea to include in an upgrade?

The thing is this kinda defeats the point of this plugin. With shaken percussion instruments, each hit sounds a bit different depending on whether the shake was forwards or back (or left vs. right for tambourines). A single hit also sounds different from a sequence of hits, etc. When you program whole patterns into the internal sequencer, it has awareness of the whole sequence and chooses samples appropriately. That's why the sequences end up sounding relatively realistic compared to piecing together individual one-shots.

You can indeed play single hits by setting up sequences with single hits in it, like Tonycore said. Occassionally I have done that on like, the "seeds" or "gunguru" instruments when I just wanted a single hit here and there. But continuous tambourine or shaker patterns I would always use the internal sequencer. Generally I'm kind of allergic to sequencers in drum plugins (my daw has a sequencer already, right?) but this one is the exception for me for the above reasons.
