Midi comping, midi chase, midi retrospective record.
Some sort of visibility cleanup or folders option.
Pencil tool should automatically appear when you hover over the velocity edit lane.
Remove function to move rack devices by clicking and holding left mouse button on any part of the device.
Full screen midi clip editor.

I want the Browser back to the left side again instead of free floating.TheMaestro wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 2:15 am What did they do wrong with v13?
What's missing, or should be removed?
A 2 way comunication with the Rack and the sequencer would be great so when i click on a instrument in the Rack it should go to that Sequencer track automaticly instead of having to select the track in the Sequencer first and then hunt down the device that is tied to that track in the Rack.
Other things i would love to see added is:
-Midi input step recording mode in the sequencer.
-Bounce midi track to audio by right clicking the midi clip and select the Audio Input channel.
-New or updated Midi out device with support for Patch scripting.

At very least:
Midi loop record on separate lanes instead of shoving it all on one ( audio does this so why not Midi)
Track folders
Support for MIDI Vst
ie all the stuff we've been asking for, for years

That functionality is already there. Click on an instrument in the rack to select it, then click the little flag at the top left of the instrument. This enables MIDI input to the instrument, AND it selects/highlights the track in the sequencer.D-Fusion wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 9:13 am A 2 way comunication with the Rack and the sequencer would be great so when i click on a instrument in the Rack it should go to that Sequencer track automaticly instead of having to select the track in the Sequencer first and then hunt down the device that is tied to that track in the Rack.

Focus on making the program better by improving the existing tech.
-Update the old devices with better dsp , especially the filters / osc's/shaper devies
-Internal oversampling of devices

A vague description by me. Not as a separate window. Focused in the rack. Like Edit Inserts do now, but with direct focus on the specific device. Forgot to add a toggle or modifier+click or something in the mixer to bypass the device without the need to open the rack. Just a faster way to get an overview, navigate & try A/B. You know.. Your mix, faster.crimsonwarlock wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 8:47 amHell nokae wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 8:24 am text listing of the insert devices on the channel. Click to open device.![]()

But seriously, I hate that on other DAWs. And "open device" is a VST-plugin thing, it won't gel with the rack-paradigm. There is already a button on each mixer-channel that brings the inserts in the rack into view, which is hugely superior to any "let's open an individual device in a pop-up window" workflow.

But why is there no MIX button in the sequencer track? Why do we have to go via the rack?crimsonwarlock wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 9:38 amThat functionality is already there. You don't need a button in the sequencer. Selecting the sequencer track does the same as clicking on the mix-button in the rack. You don't have to go "via the rack"kae wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 10:32 am But why is there no MIX button in the sequencer track? Why do we have to go via the rack?
I work with a three-screen setup, and navigating the other two screens/windows from any of the three screens works flawless. This is one of the aspects that makes Reason my main DAW.

I have been using Reason since the first version and didn't knew it was possible and it has annoyed The crap out of me so thank you for showing me that it is possiblecrimsonwarlock wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 9:38 amThat functionality is already there. I will now change that request to make it be enabled as default behavior instead
Reason 12 is great and i like it even more now that i don't have to fight the rack with trying to find the correct sequencer tracks for my devices.
The most important ones for me on my list is the Midi out device with patch script, Bounce midi to audio feature and the Browser getting back in it's lane to the left.
Then i will upgrade to 13 for $199

No it doesn't. Clicking the button in the rack opens the mixer window. Selecting the sequencer track doesn't.crimsonwarlock wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 10:41 amYou don't need a button in the sequencer. You are right, it doesn't open the mixer. In my setup the mixer is always open on its own screen, so that's why I didn't notice that. However, clicking the sequencer track DOES move the corresponding mixer-channel into view (when it is outside the mixer window, my projects are around 100 mixer-channels), and makes it blink the same as the mix-button on the rack does. So if you open the mixer window first (as you say, that's what you want), it does the same.kae wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 11:28 amNo it doesn't. Clicking the button in the rack opens the mixer window. Nice. Now try it with realism in mindSynthbuilder wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 8:05 am I'd like the ability to set the RRP to a multiple of the DAW's clock frequency for oversampling like you can with Reaktor. A lot of Reason synths alias quite badly and running them faster would help reduce this.

Open the mixer window first kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it?crimsonwarlock wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 12:15 pmYou are right, it doesn't open the mixer. I usually have the mixer detached in the background. I only have (and prefer) a one screen setup.

Not really, as the functionality is mainly aimed at finding the corresponding sequencer track, mixer-channel or rack-devices from any other screen. In that regard, it works better than most DAWs.kae wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 12:41 pm Open the mixer window first kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it?![]()
Besides the fact that I run everything on dedicated screens, I didn't even expect it to open the relevant window.

I know, but my question still stands. The mixer channel has one to the track. Nitpicking, but lack of consistency.crimsonwarlock wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 1:24 pmNot really, as the functionality is mainly aimed at finding the corresponding sequencer track, mixer-channel or rack-devices from any other screen. Edit: This doesn't bother me much though. Just a question because that subject was discussed.
